Yup, as of this morning - not there any more. (no record of sale, no record of refund, nada) Were these fotosearch sales of 20-25 bucks just a trick to get photogs to start uploading again? And then they just take it off your account? :))) Anybody else experiencing anything similar? I sent a message to CS, will see what they say.

I started uploading to CS bit by bit after this sale. Well, now... bummer, CS.

They are located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, aren't they? MSN , Yahoo news had a headline on the big fire in Halifax that made some famous Canadian musician homeless among others. Lots of evacuation and some homeless. Not making fun of that, as it's terrible by the looks of things there.
maybe your $20 went up in smoke, incl their office   ;)

I have some of those sales, I can still see them in my account.
I would wait until they reply and explain what happened before you start jumping to conclusions. perhaps there was something wrong with the image and the customer complained? We cannot know until you get a reply from them.

It feels so fake if someone "returns" an image.    What they do? upload the file back?  Or promise to delete it :-[    come on...

No kidding ! I would say whoever "bought" it , used it to create some vector or pick a part of your image , then return it to CanStock.  There really should be a change to this "refund". Reminds me of the old crooks we used to have in retail. Same method, charge it to account, use it over the weekend or within that 15 day period, come back and say, " I am not satisfied. Money back guarantee, please!".
One such customer actually returned a camera that was dropped, and claimed he "opened the box and found it this way !" Funny, he kept it for 14 days.

Well, I don't mind returns... but usually when there are returns (or there may be issues with the buyer's credit card or anything) - that's something that's reflected in my account on other sites. But not here... that's what seems quite strange to me.

Duncan, thanks for following up - I appreciate it. I just logged to see my account (before checking in with the thread here)  and couldn't figure out where the $20 came from (very nice of CS to  do this, thanks). It would really be helpful if these things somehow reflected in the account, just to take the guessing out of CS stats.

Yeah, they must of had a few a while ago.  I also had an extended license disappear one day.  I was able to look back a few weeks and see which transaction disappeared because the amount matched, but agree that a notice of some sort would be nice, and would probably save a bit of confusion.

Hi ChasingMoments,

The $19.80 was subsequently reversed as it was a fraudulent order.

While such situations are very infrequent, we have put a $20 courtesy credit on your account. We will work to make the refund process more clear.

We appreciate your contributions to our collection.

Sincerely,

Duncan

Now that's optimism for you ! Like a streak of sunshine in this lately prevalent gloomy days of Getty
;)     If only Duncan could only get the sales revving, we could all move shop to Canstock  8)

Just a quick note to inform the community that, 18 (!) months after the OP re. disappearing EL sales, an undocumented and non-transparent "fraudulent order reversing" (pls. see earlier post of Duncan_CSP in this thread) policy still is in place at CanStockPhoto.

In my case, these are $25.08 from almost a month old Fotosearch EL sale, and needless to say, I am going to be in touch both with CanStockPhoto and with Publitek, Inc. (dba Fotosearch) Copyright Agent shortly...
