Someone switched off my port after the 26th of June, with a glitch on the 9th of July.

Seriously, sales stopped dead.

If I read the forum, people are happy with 20 sales in 4 years with 5000 images, which is fine, but I rather have my 15 sales a month back.

Whats going on?

July has been OK for me.  26 sales so far.

Thats a good result

Is CanStockPhoto a site where if you stop uploading, your port is pushed back in the search?

I had a part of my port up there for a couple of months.  My test port, so to speak, it is pictures  I know how perform.

There were not sales enough to make it worth while so I took it down again, which I do when I have tested a site and found it unproductive to not compete with myself.

The problem with CS, I think,  is that there are too many low quality pictures and that scares customers away.

Not 1 sale in 6 months on CanStock!
Same portfolio selling decently in SS IS FT BS etc (600/700 images)

I asked them if there was some problem with my portfolio.
They answered that my portfolio is very good but that I should upload more

[ Well begin to sell, and I will upload more ]

Get about 25 sale PM with 2200 images (do not know how many falls into JPSDK's low quality pics category), but if it was not for my vector sales the income would have been on the lowish side. With the vectors they are constantly in my top 4 income generators.

No, I was thinking about the empty your harddisk type of pictures, and I just took a check.

And its not as bad as I remembered. The most popular are fine and of the new ones only about 1/3f were bad. Maybe it happened when they began with new reviewers.

Their new reviewers started rejecting images that were accepted on Shutterstock. When that happened I thought CanStockPhoto was having a case of megalomania  ;)

9 sales this month

51 months almost equals HALF month at SS

ja, something like that.  I was there 2-3 months, it equalled 2-3 days at shutter.

Its a new record, a new low record to be precise: $1.25 for a whole month with 800+ images

With the same portfolio on Shutterstock I had a BME and will probably end up around $350

So SS outperforms CanStockPhoto by factor 280 or CanStockPhoto is 0.36% of my SS earnings.

Average $4 per month ($2.50 this month) with 868 images! That's not the worst agency either - GL, YAY, Cutcaster, Visco, Bigstock are not exactly setting the world on fire! BME at SS.

5-10 sales a month with around 300 files. One thing Ive learned is that 90% of my sales are images with predominantly blue area like blue water diving photos and others with big blue areas like clear blue sky. If nothing else, I makes me upload just that file type on CS

Three weeks and not a single sale.....on about 1000 pics.

Is this a record?

Something has definitely happened at CanStockPhoto, I was at $50 a month and last two months at $10-$15 with 2700 images there. Duncan may come in here and say everything is hunky dory, but they either changed the search or are losing customers.  If they changed the search then someone else is making the money and that's cool.  Search changes have winners and losers.  If they are losing customers I hope it's to SS and not IS.

I had around 3 weeks with zero sales there last month. This month started ok, but then it turned off again the 7th, I hope that isn't it for the month. They aren't a great seller for me but before that they were reasonably steady with an occasional bigger sale.

Canstock used to be the strong middle tier, but from last some months, it went down..i hope it will come back some days because of their easy uploading and smoth communiction with contributors

15 sales in July, so far in August 6. My stats graph looks like a mountain range, peaks and valleys, hoping for the next peak.

4 sales so far in August, which is double the month of July.  ;) A $9.80 sale made the month already.

I usually manage to make a $50 payout each month with 1000 vectors.
