I haven't been a contributor with Canva very long, so maybe there is something obvious I don't get, but I cannot find any good breakdown of commissions on their site.
Usually my earning is made up by subscription earnings and individual sales.
So far all my individual sales have been small ones, either $1 or $3, of which I seem to have gotten either a 35% or 39% commission, so $1.05 for a $3 sale and $0.39 for a $1 sale.
This week I got my first big individual sale for $60. Sadly there is nothing to be happy about, because my commission for it was $1.15.  :o
So I only got a commission of 1.9%? Can anyone explain to me why the extreme low commission on bigger sales?

Are you sure it's 60 USD and not another country's dollar?

Edit: something seems off in the display of these sale prices. Last month I apparently had a "$3,900" sale with $0.38 commission
So either the currency is displayed the wrong way (it used to be other currencies) or the dollar amount is off.

It shows $. That's all the info I have, but even if it wasn't US$, that wouldn't change that a $1.15 commission of $60 is only 1.9%, no matter whether it's US $ or australian $ or HongKong $.  :-\

Definitely in other currency :)
I think they just redefining their site now, and it didn't show the proper currency (yet).
I got a sale at $3900, and I only get $0.38 out of it.
I say don't worry about it, Canva has always been a good honest site :)

I don't understand. Even if it was a different currency, Canadian $, Honkgong $ or whatever -   $1.15 from $60 is still only 1.9%. The percentage does not change.

They show $, but it can be any currency, not just USD, Canadian or any other dollar. I have sales of image related to India and interesting only for Indian people and the price is $75.00 , Creator Earnings is $0.35 .   75 Indian rupee is actually about 0.91 USD, so $0.35 earnings from 0.91 USD seams to be about normal.

So your $60 is actually not in $.

Is it maybe a bit like Pond 5 where they show the price, what the buyer paid, and what you earned... but they just don't have a column showing the 'what the buyer paid' part? I.e you might have got quite a bit more than 1.9%, but only as a result of the buyer paying quite a bit less than $60. That might not be it all all, just considering possibilities.

i get this one last friday, i want more of it!!!!

The $60 have now been updated to "MX$60". Whatever that means.

No necessary as it could be another currency the buyer paid, but you are always paid in US dollars ($ may not=$)

This means Mexican pesos. One peso is worth 5 US cent, therefor the 60 pesos would be about 3$.

The $3,900 is now labeled "$3,900.00 COP", or Colombian peso.
This would convert to 0.85 USD. So the $0.38 commission is correct.
