I am new to microstock but freelance many years. I applied to four agencies a few days ago and was accepted by all four. I was stunned to see my images are 'exclusive' on DT and contacted them to allow me to opt out of that status. I rec'd a nice reply that after 30 days this will no longer apply. I want to honor the Contract but does this translate I cannot feed images to the other three agencies for six months?

Yes, once exclusive in DT you cannot submit them to other sites. The trick is during submission, you have to uncheck the box where it says the photos are exclusive.

Either you wait 30 days (from my experience you will have to send them more emails asking to "honour" the contract and the 30 days, or you can also disable those pictures on DT and upload them again as non-exclusive ones. Both workarounds are a pain in the a**, I would go with the second option.

Sigalavaca thank you! I was accepted by another agency prior to DT. I hope this negates an exclusive and I checked non exclusive when I applied as I had submitted to 3 other agencies. Ugh. I wrote the contact person and hope they will reply favorably. If not, I will follow your advice. Thx so much.

maybe the source of the confusion is that at DT you can be an exclusive photographer working only with DT and no other agencies (probably this is the one you checked), but you can also have exclusive pictures only uploaded to DT without being exclusive contributor, here you have to uncheck during the submission of the image.
