Hi,

has anyone else received such a low share from their P-EL sale? Is this normal? I have just received an info I sold 50 credits P-EL (second level photo) and my share is 5.87 USD, that is 11,74%. This is very, very poor. From what I see in Contributors area, I should get at least 17 USD. But 5.87 USD out of 50? This is crazy... I have posted similar question on Dreamstime forum. But now I am considering opting out for all EL licences on Dreamstime. I feel powerless, can microstocks really do whatever they please?

You must be new. You get a percentage of whatever the credits sold for and that varies. I'm afraid that's the (new) normal at many micro sites. Micro really does mean micro these days. It's in their FAQs -The most common explanation is the actual credit value per each package a buyer purchases. The more credits the package has, the lower the price/credit. Each credit's value and hence royalties are now calculated at the real value paid by the buyer.

Sorry, you're not new. You've been at DT since 2007. I'm surprised that this is the first time you received such a low payment for an extended license. It happens from time to time.

Also the $/credit the buyer spent is reduced more depending on the level of the image (if it was a level 0 sale, you get the least). 11.74 cents per credit is pretty low though. I rarely get under 15 cents.

No, I am really not a newbie. But I have never ever got such a low revenue for a Dreamstime EL sale. This makes selling ELs there pointless. I suspected this was due to low credit price, however I did not believe they would sell credits for just a few cents.

Don't the terms vary accordingly?  What if it was for a 1" space on page 600 of a textbook?

Price / credit varies HUGELY.  In my case:

Min - 0.14
Avg - 0.32
Max- 1.00
