I've noticed quite a few 25 cent sales since the new year.  Is this new?
Is it like SS where contributor splits go down every year in January?
I just don't remember sales lower than 36 cents.

I had no sale under 0,38, Reimar.

If you are based outside of the US and have failed to renew your taxform yet, it may be lower due to taxes.

I was asked to renew my taxform and got a mail reminding me of it for every sale in 2023, although I did not notice anything out of the order for the earning amounts.

I hadn't thought of that at all. You are right. That could be Reimar's problem.

Yes, I think that's it.  I've filled out the form, but it may take a day to activate.
Cheers.

Or maybe not.  It's been two days and the previous 25 cent sales remain (although I don't see any new ones).  Wouldn't the previous withholding tax be put back towards my sales?  Anyone know?

I don't think you would get them back.
However, I am not entirely sure about this whole tax form theory here, because if you don't have filled out the tax form correctly or aren't living in a country that has a tax treaty, agencies usually take their share of the taxes from the amount you get paid at the end of each month, not from the individual sales amount. I am not 100% it's like this on Adobe, but I know that that's how it is handeled on Shutterstock, iStock, Getty and Canva and it would kind of surprise me if it was different on Adobe.

Previously withheld taxes do not get added back into your account after a valid tax form is completed. You will need to include the withholdings when you file your taxes at the end of the year.

Thank you,

Mat Hayward

I see.  It would be nice to have a reminder before the year starts since other places keep the tax treaty info for years.
As far as getting money back from the IRS when I'm in Canada, I'd probably have more luck suing Adobe for the money (in other words: it ain't going to happen).

I received an email reminder from Adobe titled: "Your W-8 tax form will expire on the 31st of December" on November 15th.

An email was sent to impacted accounts in November informing of the upcoming expiration of the tax form along with instructions on how to renew it. Yours may have landed in a spam folder.

Thank you,

Mat

Good to know.  I double-checked and couldn't see an e-mail from Adobe other than monthly payments.  I will keep an eye out for this next year.  Thanks
