Adobe Stock has blocked my account for more than a month.
I have done nothing illegal and have written several times to AS.
They ignore me.

Three years of work deleted with one click from AS. 2000 pictures and 1000 videos.

AS never sold well for me. revenue was only about one tenth of what SS sells for me.
Still, it is very annoying for me that AS has blocked my account.

Is anyone still thinking if it is worth uploading media to AS ?
I say NO!!! It is not worth it. It is wasted time. And if you are unlucky, you will get a kick like I got.

I had not uploaded any media to AS for several months.
I wonder if that was a reason for the account suspension?
Besides, the customers of AS can buy my viedeos also at p5 (GPP deal). If AS deletes my videos on their server, then they can save storage space and their customers can still buy my videos because they are redirected to p5.
I wonder if that was a reason for the account suspension?

Maybe Mat will look into that, and I hope if the matter is private that you will come back and tell us what happened?

Someone else just posted that their account was closed for spamming images. I'm sure that if there are complaints of using others images, AS would take action? But mostly I wonder why you haven't received a reply answering why?

Hi, my accouny was locked too for similar images

Similar or DUPLICATED images?
There is a big difference and I think most (maybe all) contributors have similar images in their own portfolio.

Maybe Matt could clarify this point (without going to explain the single case);
would be useful to know if Adobe is going to restrict contents upload rules.

Two months ago I got kicked from Shutterstock, got a standard mail with every reason there ever was, but no details. Guess that is life as microstocker 2022. What is the problem, we are seeing the end of microstock come closer. I just got my Eyeem sales report, a bunch of 1 cent sales. So requested my account there to be shut down. Got an auto-reply that deletion was in progress. It seems that account deletions at Eyeem are now so frequent that they have automated processing of these. There is not future in microstock, so do not cry over rejected files or locked accounts.

Ask yourself what will the last remaining high-praised agencies be like in two years (none mentioned, none forgotten). We know the answer don't we? They will also have made "anouncements of exciting news", by now every stock contributor knows what that means.

I'm wondering what happened to Findura if they ever find out.

I'm not going to venture a guess at what any agency decides is too similar vs just somewhat similar. I remember seeing people doing filters and taking one image and uploading many variations. That's virtually identical, no matter how much someone wants to argue that they are different. Same with color variations of the same image.

Not saying anyone here or the OP did that. Just pointing out, similar is not the same as just making many manipulations of the same image.

Two is probably not going to trigger any alerts, after that, I'd think it's an unnecessary risk trying to push them through. Kind of like, one color and one B&W and then move on. Or one square and one landscape. One sharp and one soft background. That kind of thing.

AS has not forgotten me. They have written to me, but still have not told me what the problem is.
They just wrote a message with a strange question.
No explanation why they closed my account.
I still don't know what happened and that's why I repeatedly asked several questions.

What question did they ask you?

A strange one.
Just like a suspected criminal is questioned in crime movies, who is not supposed to recognize from the question what the strategy of the criminal investigators is.

You come here for sympathy but, for now, you have only been very vague as to what has happened to you. If you could explain a bit more in detail what took place, people might actually care about it. Without those details I might even think Adobe was right in their actions towards you, if it even happened in the first place.
So enlighten us :)

I see it like SVH. Is there a link to your portfolio at shutterstock or at another agency where it is still online so that one can look at where the problem might be, Findura. Without this information it is not possible to judge the issue.

wouldn't they lock the account of someone the suspect of doing something in breach of the agreement?  questions about it would obviously be in that form....

Findura said: I had not uploaded any media to AS for several months.

I dont think that would be the reason. I havent uploaded for a couple of years, but I still have an account there, and I still sell images.

Tell us what Adobe said and we might be able to help. There is always a reason why accounts get closed. People complain it got closed for no reason, but upon further digging, it comes out that they violated something in the Terms. Maybe even not on purpose. Sometimes there is a lot of suspicious activity on the account in the form of a lot of bogus credit cards being used. Sometimes people buy their own images. And so on.

Post the question exactly as they asked it. We might be able to give you some clues as to what is going on.

Good points and that's the history on the forum. "my account was closed for no reason."

I don't want to presume that Findura actually did something wrong, or intentionally violated the TOS, but without the details and what Adobe wrote, we'd all be more informed with the specifics and details. As it is now, we have one side and nothing but vague descriptions, without details. It's all guessing.

Why did they close the account? What were the questions they asked? We'd all do better at trying to figure out what happened if Findura would share that with us.

My account was locked for similars, not duplicate images. The main problem is that after my account was restored my sales have halved.

Similar to what?  Similar to others in your own portfolio?  Or to someone else's?  If the latter then I can see why they might lock it.

Before the last message from AS, there was no message at all for 3 months. I thought they had kicked me out and forgotten about me.
The fact that they have now written a message to me gives me some hope that they are investigating the case.
I don't know what the problem is. AS has not written anything clear.

I don't give details here yet.
I want to wait and see if AS gets back to me.

i had a short suspension when i submitted a group of shots of whimbrels on a beach - singles, doubles, flocks, walking, flying, etc - only similarity was they were all whimbrels. most of the series were accepted by other agencies

the biggest difference is other agencies just reject with a note, but AS blocks your account (and all sales). since i can't predict what they'll consider similar, esp'ly if they're looking at previous submissions, I've stopped uploading

i can understand your position, but then shouldn't you have refrained from posting in the first place?
