Title: Datum keyword
Post by: Madede on February 05, 2026, 09:37
Recently I found that lot of my assets in portfolio have keyword - datum - which I am 100% sure that wasn't added by me and doesn't have anything to do with asset content in a way to be added as descriptive keyword.
So it must have been added by adobe bot or something like that.

Anyone else ?

Are you sure that your files have the keyword "datum"?
I ask because in my port I did a search on "datum" files came up, but when I actually looked at the file (when logged in as a contributor), it did not have the keyword datum.

If I look at my files on the contributor interface, I see that where I wrote the keyword "data", the external site (customer site) shows the keyword "datum". This has been the case on the site for quite a few years now. It shows other words instead of certain words, not the original keyword entered. But it will still be searchable with both the original keyword and the "substitute".

Same thing here. In my contributor account there is no datum keyword at all, I definitely didnt add it. But when I check assets from the buyer/search side, it suddenly appears. I see the same behavior in several client accounts I manage. Looks like Adobe is autoswitching or displaying another form of data on the frontend. It's not visible when editing the file, but it still shows up in search. Are you seeing the same difference between contributor view and customer view?

I can see those "keywords" in assets from the buyer/search side also.
Fact that those keywords can be seen just from buyer side screams even more that Adobe was messing with metadata and search algorithm or position of our work in buyers search and in my opinion that has to affected sales.
Lately, with all this prioritizing Ai, similar bot rejections and low sales and actions like this keywords messing I am loosing motivation to upload my work on Adobe stock.  :-\
