I've noticed the number of views at Fotolia climbing rapidly over the last couple of weeks.  Initially I thought this was due to new uploads, but then I noticed others commenting on it in the FT forum.

Anyone else seeing a rapid rise in views at Fotolia?  Anyone know why? (go to your statistics page to see the views history)

Edit:  we're talking here about views suddenly climbing by 50% to 100% ie. a significant and very strong change.

No neither do I.  Usually.  But when someone remarks that views are suddenly climbing 50% to 100% over a two week period, that's something perhaps significant, and worth wondering about.

Maybe related to Adobe customers checking out FT?

also here, since a month ago views increased with 50%.

but I,ve seen more of such fluctuations about one year ago. From out of nothing views increased with 100%. Then collapsed after a few weeks.

btw, it didn't affect my sales

Yes, I notice that too! And a few month I sell only (read: ONLY) my old photos! Nothing new, thats weird! My sales at FT dramatically decreases too even I monthly upload basis about 100 new photos. Yes, after the new year, I have a big hocus pocus at FT.

I must say too: FT stuff, FT forum stuff, FT contact stuff is catastrophic bad. Very unprofessional! They are the most contributor - unfriendly stock!
I hope for better times at FT.

They may have simply changed their counting method - meaningless stat inmho - I always get very few views on fotolia and sometimes 100s on dreamstime - guess where I sell the most?

I don't find that.  Fotolia is one place where I know that at least a few of each batch will take off well.  Even moreso than SS. Maybe I have a better placement in the search there.  Although at DT I get really good placement in the searches but new images take ages to start selling.

Before New year I have excellent "placement in the search" there. I was 7/day rang 200 and better. Today I am rang 7/day 1000+. Before New year FT was my best stock, better than SS and IS. Today barely better than DT. What happend, only FT know!  :-X

They may have had some sort of re-shuffle because since new year my sales are way up.  I don't usually look at ranking so have no idea if that has changed or not.

My number of sales on Fotolia here in April, are the highest for many months already. So I'm breaking my record on Fotolia in number of sales. Compared to the other stock sites my images are featured on (iStock, ShutterStock, Dreamstime, 123rf, deposit, alamy, pond5, bigstock, envato, canstock), Fotolia is in the lead for this month (in sales; not in income). All my sales on Fotolia this month are subscription.

My number of views though, are unchanged; but in the period 23. of February - 27. of February, I had 12 times more daily views than my average.

My views AND sales at Fotolia are both climbing dramatically. The increase in views is certainly steeper than the sales.

Month to date RPI is double what it was in January/February.

I have noticed a bigger change (increase) in credit sales than in subscription sales (which seem to be holding constant).

I'm not sure what is happening or why, but it seems to be working my favor for now and I like.

I'm not opted into DPC... not sure if that matters.  Even before that was even a thing, sales died hard.  But, I used to earn 5-10x what I earn now at Fotolia.  Sad.  Nothing has changed; I still upload regularly and my image quality has increased tenfold.  I'm a gold ranked contributor.  I wish I knew what put my sales in "time out".  Ebbs and flows.  On one agency sales will tank, and on another sales will increase to make up for the loss of the other place.  All the more reason to never go exclusive and put all of your eggs into one basket.
