I never read much of the sales information in FT since they stopped showing the buyer's name (so I would see if I could find it in use).  Then today I entered that page and noticed a "Credit for subscription based photo sale by reseller", and found out this subs earnings came from a Norwegian company called Scanpix.

http://scanpix.no/

I can't see the prices in the English page, but there is something in the Norwegian page (Leaf, can you check that?). I also wasn't able to find my imagethere.

I also found a credit sale from IML Image Group Ltd, but their website linked in the message is under construction.

http://artforweb.com/

Given the name was not like the url, I searched for the company's name and found this site:

http://www.iml.gr/

I didn't find my image with them either, but their "low-budget RF" seems to come from other sites (Panthermedia among them) and collectively labelled as EasyFototock, which in turn is a section of AgeFotostock:
http://easy.agefotostock.com/easy/ingles/easyhome01b.asp
Whose prices are apparently much higher that FT's.  I didn't find my image there either, but if this site is reselling FT's images, we are getting a ridiculous part of their price.

I'm a little dizzy from jumping from one site to another, and even then not finding my image in any of them.

I checked my sales back to October, and these were the only partner sales I found.  I wonder if making this explicit is new.

The only images I could find on the scanpix site appeared to be designated 'folio RM' when I ran the mouse over them. They had a total of around 21,000 images.

I've now moved my images out of subs with FT. Payment for the contributor was just too derisory for the size of image. That won't affect them in any way and I'll have to see if it affects my regular downloads.

Are you saying you opted out of subs on FT? I didn't think that was possible, but if it is, I'm definitely interested in learning how to do it.

OM is probably exclusive there.

Maria,
I just want to take this opportunity to express my admiration for you dogged stance against subs.  I wish I could convince myself to follow your example.   :-\

I believe you can remove any exclusive photo's if you're part exclusive as well. I'm very small fry, fairly new and still trying to get a feel for microstock.
I depend on studio photography for a living but wonder if I'll be able to supplement my old-age  state pension with micro earnings in a few years time. I just don't have the time or patience to submit to other agencies at the moment. So I'll stick with FT until they screw me once too often. It's only pocket money at the moment and I'm sure that I could find something else to do 'photographically' that would bring in as much or more on a regular basis than micro........just haven't discovered it yet and besides, I'm rather lazy!

Hi,

Just wanted to make a quick comment on easyFotostock. It's possible for contributors to submit images directly to this collection, and you don't have to rely on third-party distributors to make sales there. Submissions made directly to the easyFotostock collection should earn you a 50% sales commission, according to this link:

You can read more about it here: http://www.agefotostock.com/phroad/ingles/phroad07b.asp

I don't know about Fotolia, but I know that PantherMedia is a major contributor to the easyFotostock collection.

IML Image Group also have their collections on AGE. As far as I know, IML doesn't have their own microstock/midstock offering. However, they are marketing the easyFotostock collection. If your sales report says that IML made the sale, it's likely from easyFotostock collection.

Hope that helps.

Regards,

Christopher

These are the FT affiliates / partners that I've come across:

http://en.bilderking.com
http://imagetrail.net (also contains DT images)
http://www.pixmac.com
http://photog.snaparazzi.eu
http://www.okaypix.com
http://www.kitgrafik.com
http://www.onlydoo.com
http://www.photoxpress.com

Some seem to be directly linked to FT's database, while others are not. Some have my complete portfolio, some have most images but are missing 10% or so, and imagetrail has only about 20% of my total.

I deleted an image in my FT portfolio to see what happens. On some sites the image disappeared immediately, and my portfolio count was decremented properly. On others the image still showed up, but it wasn't available for purchase.

Only on pixmac and photoxpress does the image still seem to be available for purchase.

This too, and for prints:
http://foto.artgeist.com/en/gallery.html

I searched for my username on this site, and found only 44 images. Strangely enough, 2 of the 44 are not mine. Apparently someone had copied my keywords from images back in the day when I used to include my username as one of them!  ;D  Oops.

Just checked the other one; it shows the same set of 44 images.

Thanks!

PS - I couldn't check http://tuweimei.com/ as they don't appear to have an English option.

PPS - The images I removed earlier are no longer available now on pixmac or photoxpress.

I am surprised I got images on so many sites :-) I never noticed any partner sales. Is this on any special page at FT?

With regards to Scanpix, it is Norway's biggest image agency, owned by the leading Norwegian publishing house/newspapers. Their Fotolia images seems only to be available to editorially registered users, labeled "User generated images". The Fotolia images is priced from NOK 30 ($5 - 0,3 MB) to NOK 130 ($22 - 65 MB).

Thanks for posting the list, very helpful.

Has anyone here tried to have there images removed from http://imagetrail.net I'm about to send my third email to them. Dealing with the Fotolia affiliates is freakin B%&$*^&T!!.

If you delete your portfolio from Fotolia you shouldn't have to contact all their affilliates to have your images removed. How about at least providing a list for us?? >:(

Last week I deleted two images from Fotolia as a test. The thumbnails still appear on Imagetrail. However if you click on the "Download / Buy" button, it goes directly to a Fotolia website page for that image which states "This file does not exist or is unavailable". It doesn't bother me that the thumbnails still appear as long as the images can't be bought.

Why would you promote a product that is not for sale.?.

Patrick.

Well, that's imagetrail's problem, isn't it? Hopefully they re-sync their database every so often, and it will eventually be removed from their site.

I don't care so much about the images being displayed as long as they're not avail for purchase. If I get turned down for exclusivity because of it, then it's a big issue. I'm waiting to get an answer from Istock admin on that.
