Title: Keyword sorting tool update
Post by: MatHayward on June 11, 2015, 09:25
Hi All,

The Fotolia site development team has updated the indexing page so you can shuffle and sort your keywords in order of relevance again.

In the indexing tool under the box of keywords simply click the "order keywords" link. You can move any keywords you want up or down from there. Remember that the search places priority on the first 7 keywords submitted so be sure to place the most relevant keywords at the top of the list.

Have a great day!

-Mat

Does that mean that the order can't be altered after they have been reviewed?  I know that it used to be important to have them in order but then I thought that was scrapped so I haven't ordered them for ages. Maybe that is why some good images never see get any love.

so now it isn´t possible anymore to copy your own keywords for other pictures. I wish there were a tool like in ss to generate keywords by choicing similar pictures :/

If I doing a mistake like forget to choice a categorie, every selected picture get unselected again. Please fix this issue  its really frustrating or better kill the categorie, nobody use it.

Yes catagories are a PITA esp when you have sub and sub sub catagories

I know this is an old post, but what a PITA sorting keywords is!!! So every time I upload an image to Fotolia I have to sort keywords for each and every image. I have over 1000 images online here and started sorting keywords, if you think categories take time, start playing with keyword sorting order. :P. Since the search places priority on the first 7 keywords is it worth having more than 7 keywords?

Very good question! Yes, "sorting" is the biggest PITA with FT. Even more aggravating than the categories, which are ridiculous.

It would be much better if you'd add the possibility, to add keywords after the images were already appoved.
And why it's not possible anymore, to see "how many images have been viewed" statistics for the current day. You have to wait after midnight to become available.

I strongly feel they are reviewing all accounts- Opening inbox, Fotolia only treat some of contributors well and they are pretty crappy with others. @MatHayward your fotolia reviewing system sucks

My thoughts exactly, we need to be able to add/remove keywords after the photos have been approved!!

Is there a possibility to bulk-reindex photographs or do we have to make it manually each image?
