Just came across http://www.scake.com/ - Looks like they also use Fotolia's API.

No idea if this was mentioned before or if anyone actually cares. Though I'd let everyone know.

I care. Thanks for the link, I did a search for a few of my best sellers and did not find anything. I am not at Fotolia, so that may be why. Which is OK by me.  :)

I couldn't find one of my images there either and I'm WITH Fotolia - so I'm not sure how they obtain their images.

It doesn't look like they have access to all the images.

...What makes you think it's a Fotolia affiliate if you didn't find your own images?...

The Fotolia watermark.

Otherwise they are quite ruthless in offering designs that are not provided through an API.

Mat

My images are there too __ the exact number that I have in my portfolio at FT.

I found all of mine using Google but their internal image search is really screwed up.

I cannot locate one of my images using the scake.com search.

Indeed, I see Fotolia watermark on them.  I didn't find any of mine, but having to search in German is a bit complicate. I wonder if these images are from FT's free section? Funny, though, TinEye could only find them in IS or Getty, the ones I tried at least.

They put images on cakes. Hmm, that's something new! Doe sit fall into "print on demand"?

Oh, keyword spamming!  I find many images of Copacabana that are not at least in Rio de Janeiro (and they are not the Bolivian Copacabana either).

Indeed! I tried "brasilien geld" but mine didn't show.

Observe that each image has an option to buy from Fotolia (Dieses Bild bei fotolia kaufen). In the case you buy the cake, do they buy the image?

Which proves the point that their search doesn't work well (at all?).

Weird, they don't even include a referral/affiliate link. That's just odd.

Have you reported them to FT? Maybe they are legal, like that German print company (wer they with FT or DT?)

No I haven't - I wasn't sure if someone contacted Fotolia in the past and may know about it. But if no one here knows anything I will contact them.
