Has anyone had vectors rejected for this?

I've got a couple variations of the same picture but in my opinion they are quite different.

Have submitted them together at Shutterstock and they were all accepted - I know they are different agencies but it's happened a few  times when I've submitted larger batches of images with Fotolia.

Does anyone know if I submitted them separately would this happen less?
And is resubmitting them an option?

Thanks :)

I had the same thing sometimes. A series would be accepted, except for one or two images. Very odd.

I was able to resubmit them successfully a few days later, but your mileage may vary.

I got so many time declined of too similar image, what I do is keep shooting and uploading new image!!!

the following info is what I received when a file declined:

Some subjects have already been covered sufficiently by contributors and are satisfactorily represented in our database.
For these subjects, new images must bring something completely new compared to the images already online in order to be accepted.

When similar photographs are submitted, we will only approve files that meet technical or aesthetic requirements, and match the selected category.

For an image series, please submit photographs that are different enough to allow different applications.
For example, the same model in different situations or with different expressions; or for illustrations, the same design must be provided with different symbols.

For similar subjects with different colours, please limit the variants to 6 colours.

If you selected the free option during the upload process, Fotolia will inform you if your photo has been integrated to into this section.

i have this problem many times... what i do is try to upload it again after a while of time...they will not check your old files but can notice the similar designs when you upload them together.

Yes I've realized that now even if they are quite different they can get rejected for similarity. And best to be submitted separately. Resubmitted a couple and it seems to be ok. Perhaps they're done by computer?

Thanks for replies :)

Similar to the files, that are already in their photo-base, not similar to your files. For example, if you upload flowers, they will probably reject those, because they already have so many of them.

So you mean to say if I uploaded a white kid photo now I can't upload another one because I already have some? I have to start uploading black or something else, otherwise fotolia will reject them with their nonsense reasons  :'(
