Just happened to glance over to the right and noticed 123 took a spot on the Big 6. When did they knock BigStock out of place?

For me they were always better than BigStock ;-) If StockXpert continues its trend it will also drop off top 6. Maybe CanStockPhoto will then jump in :-)

Interesting.  For me BigStock is 3% of my income and 123 is 2%.  Close, but I have never had a month where 123 outsold BigStock.

OTOH, I forgot to vote this month.  Better go do that.

they are always jumping around.  Last month it was bigstock on top.. now it is 123 again.

Well maybe my vote counted in. 123RF is a constant seller for me. BigStock is not worth mentioning in my sales. But then again, I have over 3400 images on 123 and only about 400 on BigStock.

My 123 portfolio is newer and smaller than my BigStock folio and 123 is doing quite well.  As a matter of fact, it is very competetive with DT.

I'm thinking I need to increase my visibility.  Maybe it is time to take a shot at SS???

I have about 5.000 images on BS and 5.500 images on 123.
with only a slightly larger portfolio on 123 I earn about 2-3 times more money on 123 compared to BS.

since 3 months 123 makes even more money then DT. (but I must admit that my porfolio on DT ist only 3000-4000 images, because of my bad rejection rate there)

Just happened to glance over to the right and noticed 123 took a spot on the Big 6. When did they knock BigStock out of place?

Those poll results are hugely skewed towards the smaller agencies with less stringent contributor requirements by newbies and/or those with small portfolios. For example a newbie with just a few images and who cannot get accepted by IS has the same voting weight as someone with a huge portfolio and several hundred thousand sales. Newbies are probably more likely to vote too. I'd take those 'results' with a fairly hefty pinch of salt.

yes, that is quite right.. a few pinches of salt should be taken.

The general theme is however quite correct, you are going to earn hundreds more dollars from the big 6 than you are from 'new sites'

I am surprised that both Fotolia and Canstock aren't higher in the poll.  I made more with Canstock last month than I did with 123RF and more with Fotolia than iStock.

Fotolia favor both big or old contributors who never made wave  ;D More seriously leaf, I think you have 4x more images on Fotolia than Istock. Still from what I have seen, Yuri and many other big sellers who aren't exclusive with Istock, likes Fotolia.

YTD, BigStock is 13% and 123 is 9%, but some months they are much closer. For me, BigStock has stalled out since the SS takeover.

I think I am the only one for whom 123RF is so much behind the others.  This year I got about half of what I earned in BigStock.

I have pretty much the same number of images on all sites.  Istock has been my top seller every month since I started doing this in 2005.

However, I am surprised Fotolia doesn't rank better in that poll.  They have moved past DT and SS to take second place in my earnings on a regular basis.

I like the sales at Fotolia very much, particularly since I am emerald have doubled my base price.  Some of their policy decisions I have disagreed with pretty strongly though, so I would not say they are a favorite agency of mine.

For me the biggest are SS+FT+DT, followed by IS (my portfolio there is small, I hate the uploading process), then BigStock and dead last 123RF (I really don't like them).  I dropped StockXpert when the "Photos" thing went up and dont regret it at all, but they used to be my #4 or #5.
