Upfront payment opportunity, available until October 24, 2025
Dear rushay,
You're eligible to opt in or renew stock content that could be added to the Adobe Stock free collection. By October 24, 2025, sign into your Contributor portal dashboard to opt in your eligible files.
How much do I get paid for each video?
You have the opportunity to renew your files for a one-year term or for perpetual use.
One-year term: For each selected file included in the free collection, you'll receive an upfront payment of USD 7, for the one-year term.
Perpetual Use: For each selected file included in the free collection, you'll receive an upfront payment of USD 16, for perpetual use.
I used to entertain this offer but stay away now, especially since Adobe starting paying UK members in dollars without any increase to suit the exchange rate to sterling.
1705 eligible files, let's see how much will be approved...
341 eligble files, I opted them all in for the one year plan and some old non sellers and early ai for the permanent freebie collection.
Usually they take very little.
I've selected all the 2,691 eligible assets for the annual free collection.
I'm not holding my breath ;D
i got 4101 pre-selected files
usually they take like 3%? like photos collection?
Obviously the files that get selected will get a crap load of downloads, but I'm more interested to know if this would give your entire portfolio a boost in the algorithm, probably not.
Nominated 5000 files for perpetual. Not holding my breath but I would be stoked if they took a chunk of them.
woah, if i read my dashboard correctly looks like they accepted mine 100%
year end bonus on za way. alhamdulillah.

I think you are confused with the ones you earmarked for the free collection. Until they are really in the free collection they have not picked anything yet.
I'd be happy for them to select 3% for the free collection but it might be less. I'm not sure since this is the first time I've selected everything for the free collection.
Cool but now they only need the best (not the best sellers but the ones with persepctive and with a few sales already). I doubt they are going to select more than 1%.
did they announced the results?

did they announced the results?
Not yet. Probably at the end of this week or next week. It usually takes 3 weeks or so.
Well the option to see the selected videos is gone but I have nothing in the free selection. I guess they did not pick anything :(
Give it some more time, I think it will be available this Friday or next Monday
Looking at the state of the current free collection, there are currently only 12 AI Generated videos and 11,000 AI generated images. Only 91,000 assets in the free collection. Not getting my hopes up about the thousands of AI generated videos nominated for the free collection.

Enjoy it while you can, it won't last; the machines will soon lay you off.

100% agree with you on this.
900 nominated files, only $9.80 (sad)
Another AS joke...
4 shots out of 5000.
4 out of 600... Is this a joke? What are those big numbers and almost a month of anticipation to get something big? I'm not applying anymore.
I can't remember the amounts they were paying for the 1-year option. Was it $7/file?
I think I had 1,800 possible files. I got $280 today.

I got an earnings of $27.30, it doesn't specify what those are about but am afraid its this.... The illusion of over $8,400 to just $27.30 :s hahahha
0 out of 97 (do mostly photos not video). So that sums up to $0.00. Thanks Adobe for the trouble. First time and last time of making content eligble fo free collection.

With no video, there's note even a note, so they knew, don't bother writing to me.
I'm so happy I went Pond5 exclusive for the big advantage. So far, that's been, nothing to write about and a total of $1.79. :-X
I have about 1% selected, which resulted in only +-$700. Not much more than last year, even though portfolio has grown meanwhile
FYI, I did a quick search and Adobe has 41M non AI videos for sale, and now 91K videos in the free collection, so they chose 0,23% of the video collection on average.
I think that more contributors just clicked that all the contents should be sent for evaluation (at least it seemed so according to what I have read here on forum), so it is just given by the fact, that much more content was there than in previous year. It is just a number game. Similar amount of free spots, more content submitted = less content accepted per each of us. Simple maths.
I have 2% with decent $4.5k
$63 for 9 videos
I'm surprised at some of the videos they selected, but I'll take it.
How do you see how many video they got selected?
Just got the official e-mail, they accept 17 for 1 year, and 2 perpetual: 151. the strange thing that, looking at the earnings, I got around 115$. Looks like another payment will be added or maybe I'm missing something
Same, received the email and no payment in sight presently.
One of the five videos they licensed from me was literally of flies on rotting meat.

Never mind, I think this is the 30% tax withhold put on my country. Well, US needs money to support Israel after all.
196 items eligible (out of 573 total), 24 accepted, total of $357... 3 for 1 year and 21 perpetual.

You can direct your gaze in another direction, but that won't improve your political opinion ;):
More than $130 billions for Ukraine ;D
Assuming the email is inaccurate. I only see previously selected files. Ah well.

Hehe, right. But in case of Ukraine, at least Trump is asking for something in return (rare earth minerals, security deal...)..
Sorry but how do I see which videos have been accepted for the Perpetual collection? I can only see the Free 1-year ones on my dashboard.

That's really nice, but I don't understand perpetual, for a one time payment. Are those videos that you personally feel have no future and a little something payment, one time, forever, is better than nothing ever? How did you decide to give them free forever?
1 out of 80 or so. I don't think I'll be participating next year.

I did the math... at current levels it would take, on average, 9 years for me to make the same amount per file. As earnings per item decrease every year, it's more like 15 or 20 years. By then Adobe might not sell stock anymore, I might be dead, AI robots may rule the world. And Adobe only accounts for about 5% of my total earnings, so may as well go for the early Christmas bonus instead... it's no great loss!

Good way to evaluate, for yourself, based on your sales. For the photos and Illustrations, since I have no video, I still decided, nothing perpetual or forever. And I don't disagree with you. I'll probably make less in the next ten or more years, plus there's no promise that Microstock will exist that long, as a viable marketplace.
That's where I stand on Microstock itself. I'd rather stay with SSTK, and make some dimes, than make nothing at all. DT is the same. Deposit and the bottom feeders, were so despicable that I wasn't going to participate. That's why I'm happy with WS. But others may have a different viewpoint. When the merger is over or voided, Pond5 is next. Being an exclusive was a bad choice on my part, but it sounded good at the time.
Adobe has picked the same images, over the years, and added some new, so I'll assume, they make more from my "free" images, than it costs them. Well good news. So do I. 8)
