Hello,

I using photoshelter.com, it is little expensive because I sending on +10 agencies big files and got bandwith limit issue every month. Fileburner and picworkflow have very confusing interface and slow servers. I wondering about new FTP distribution service and looking for advice how to manage this problem.

Regards,
BA

Fileburner?

Do you mean Lightburner? There were some issues recently (slow distribution, custom channels not working), but now are fixed and it's working perfectly. Try again.

yes, lightburner. It was late here and I'm made some spelling mistakes. How to track what is sended on which agency on lightburner. I select all images and assign to chanels but can't track how photo is distributet to every channel. I'm search over site and did not see where is this option. Any advice?

Only thing for a bandwith solution is to get a new provider.

It is that dam "fair access policy" and usually comes with a satellite provider but not cable or FIOS, i had the same problem and was only allowed 5G uploading a month and have now changed to internet from my cell phone provider where i get 10G upload for the same price.

This is the price for living in the Boonies.

I use picworkflow and it works well for me.

It does what it's supposed to do, distribute your upload to mutiple destinations. And it's quite fast too

Click on a picture and go to the 'Stats' tab to see if it was distributed to every channel. Since usually all pictures in the same batch are either distributed or not, it's enough to check one picture. However, I agree it would be better to have a report of distributed pictures (like Photoshelter).

You can see the distribution of total files to each agency if you go to Analytics then SEO. You will find a graph that shows one upload and then the number of files sent to each of your agencies.

I use Lightburner all the time - it is a great service for me, and is a lot quicker than uploading via FTP to 20+ agencies

Steve

PS - without being too blatant, I have a chapter on Lightburner in my new book "Getting started in stock!!"
