Three months back I uploaded 5 engineering-parts studio-shots, to the Getty-Stone collection, by mistake they ended up in their stupid PC, I protested but they said it was too late and blah, blah, blah. In the end I wanted them deleted rather then to sit in PC, which they did.

Yesterday, Friday, a PR-agency in Germany phones me up, said they saw some Engineering shots but couldnt find them, well I knew damned well what they were refering to: the deleted files from PC ofcourse, only they THOUGHT! thay saw them at Stones.

Long story short, they bought 3 of them and for RM prices with appropriate circulations and rights, etc.

See what I mean, these new guys at Getty, no matter whom, are set in stone, havent got a clue of how to negotiate or compromize.

Im regretting signing that new contract already.

Wow. At least you navigated that one, but how many others were lost is the bigger question.

Thanks Lisa! bit fortunate really. You know I spent about an hour browsing inside the agency, havent done that for years. I was amazed! all the big guns are gone or at most, left their ordinary, everyday stuff, leaving a big bunch of Lifestyles geeks, plasticy models, business guys on white, etc, etc. Even among their once so celebrated RM section, its almost impossible to find one single image that Micro and RF, cant match. Incredible!

I can truly understand why they plan to throw the lot into TS or whatever. Who is going to pay RM prices for something that almost anyone of the main four Micros can supply and for a few bucks? beats me.
