If you mean the quality of images accepted then yes, I fear it has already gone there though I am not sure you should just pick on that particular person. There are many.
It used to be an achievement getting into SS. Now.......

I think the second one is the most accurate. Because we don´t know the meaning of quality for SS. Their parameters of quality. Some people say they use AI for review pics, no human reviewers.

The only rejections now seem to be for editorial caption or a faulty model release. I havent seen or heard of a single technical rejection of any image for a long time and looking at a lot of the people on the forum with "why arent my photos selling" who have awful ones i dont think they do.
Its possible they're using AI to review captions and maybe even releases but i can't see any sort of human intervention on images any more.

When I started, I took some really nasty crapstock. Of course back then, Upload on Thursday, accepted by Tuesday, sales by the end of the week. Maybe I could upload them as Blurred Background? ;)
I had most of them accepted at places like 123, BS, Panther, Lucky Oliver, the small sites, at which time I thought "OK I have an idea, I'll upload to FT, IS and SS"
Ha Ha, rejected, nearly all. I had to take the test again for SS, but passed once I realized sharp, good contrast, clean, focused. Plus (another back then) downsized and submitted a variety of shots and styles. Passed in a breeze.
The second part isn't about quality but content, and I don't need to waste time on filler, to make numbers, if they won't every sell. I have a good collection of those too.
So when I actually do find something old, if it might have potential, based on content, I'll consider that. If it's something that's destined to languish everywhere, never sell, because of a poor choice of subject, I let it die. :)
Numbers don't mean anything anymore. Besides I used to only upload one or two of any idea, rarely more. There are some old timers who have 800 of the same shot, with different backgrounds. Oh boy, and wonder why sales per image aren't any good?

IS were really really tough but I learnt a huge amount from those frustrating rejections....people new to the game learn nothing now and just wonder why their images aren't selling even though the sites seem to welcome them with open arms and tales of how they will earn big money.

Deposit Photo did that, ask most of the people who bought into the agency. There are a few who are making something and happy, many more who left.

Just recently, I actually got an exposure rejection on SS. I couldn't believe my eyes!

Exactly!! poor imagery can sell as well as great images! and thats the platform SS i built upon!..fair enough I believe SS are losing serious contributors or simply not uploading anymore. I myself have removed more pics then todays port of just 2400 images and dont upload until I see new images selling.
The SS platform is built upon that contributors could be replaced within minutes, newbies applying all the time and thousands of them all thinking to get rich over night and free lunches.
As far as SS no one is infallible and everyone is expendible! of course so is their company!

1) I DO get rejections of submissions. Not a lot, but then I don't put up a lot of junk either. My last batch of 126 images had 9 rejections today (all for "main subject not in focus" or "noise" -- a couple were a bit crunchy...).
2) I DO get sales on new images. I uploaded a batch of Namibia photos last week of lions, elephants, and the like. I had 21 sold from that batch just in the last 2 days.
3) My sales DO drop every summer. August is always bad for me. But then it roars back in September and is good the rest of the year.
4) I DO sell most of my portfolio. Two months ago, I had 2500 images in my portfolio. According to MicroStokr Pro, 1729 of those images have had sales. (I added another 1000+ in the last 2 months, as I went back and added stuff I had overlooked in my older stuff on my disk -- and yes, those are starting to sell too)

For a long time, contributors on SS have been commenting that hardly any new images have been selling and it's mainly old photos that sell. My experiences weren't quite the same. I generally sell a mix of old and new. However recently, things have started to change a little for me. I'm starting to get less sales on new photos and more sales on old photos.

3. I didn't call you a liar, let alone everybody. I really believe you when you say that your sales have tanked, big time. You told me and I agreed that we are in different leagues. This is consensus, not a lie.
4. If you are on micro since 2005, it's so sad to admit that a "noob" or a "rookie" (see point 5.) is doing much better than you. You might have missed the memo, "noobs" and "rookies" (see point 5.) got, meanwhile.

Not unless you do commissioned work 3-4 days every week and with a turnover of 154.000 pound/sterling per annum and 2 employees from commissions only, Yes if you are doing better then I congratulate you and say I am sorry for arguing with you! :)

Not yet. I am in the .36 club. :)
Though I started in 2011, I only had a couple hundred images online until about a year ago (summer of 2017) when I decided to get more serious. My portfolio has grown from about 400 in Aug 2017 to 3600 today, and I still add a couple hundred images per week.
More recently (last month) I have started getting serious about uploading video clips also. I have about 120 of those online now, and probably another 200 or 300 by the end of this year. No sales there yet, but I am just getting started, and I understand video typically takes longer to get traction.

FWIW, I was born and spent most of my life living California (USA, just in case there is any doubt...). I moved to Ecuador when I retired in 2013, so now consider Ecuador my home.

Not unless you do commissioned work 3-4 days every week and with a turnover of 154.000 pound/sterling per annum and 2 employees from commissions only, Yes if you are doing better then I congratulate you and say I am sorry for arguing with you! :)
What really puzzles me though is for such a successful person you still sell on a site whose owner you despise.

I sometimes wonder if I am selling to a different SS than the rest of you whiners...?
1) I DO get rejections of submissions. Not a lot, but then I don't put up a lot of junk either. My last batch of 126 images had 9 rejections today (all for "main subject not in focus" or "noise" -- a couple were a bit crunchy...).
2) I DO get sales on new images. I uploaded a batch of Namibia photos last week of lions, elephants, and the like. I had 21 sold from that batch just in the last 2 days.
3) My sales DO drop every summer. August is always bad for me. But then it roars back in September and is good the rest of the year.
4) I DO sell most of my portfolio. Two months ago, I had 2500 images in my portfolio. According to MicroStokr Pro, 1729 of those images have had sales. Wrong! both myself, Laurin and fuego know Jon personally, not like pals but personally but Jon isnt running things anymore and havent been doing that for over a year and a half as if you couldnt work that out, sure! his got big stakes in the company but he aint running it. So how could I despise him. His been good to us. Shareholders have the power and they appoint anyone they want to!

What puzzles me is, though such a "successful" person (allegedly making $200,000/year from his other job), he is spending so much time, on this forum, ranting about his SS pocket change, (maybe what, best case, max 4-5K/year? probably less) fueling various capping conspiracy theories.
