That is actually a very good photo created by AI. However if I would post it, if it were an actual photo, with for example Shutterstock, it would be rejected saying it is out of focus. But maybe for AI the rules are different :)
Although, the right hand, on the left side of the photo, does look a little peculiar

I like the soft mood. I'll tell you a secret: usually at Adobe (I don't use SS anymore) I write "soft focus" along to the description of my own photos and they are approved ;)

I'm not going to pay for this kind of thing, but I think you have done some nice work and created not only a very useful quality image, but I'm sure created prompts that produced these results.
Yes I am amazed at the quality and realism of the image.

These images always smell fake, but we need a nose to feel it.

Generating a decent image and AI photo retouching can take more time than taking photos... and you have to pay for AI licenses

However his hat is very fiftyish and the car in the background is terribly realistic too
The way the guy holds the gun is hilarious :D
I wish I could have such an expert knowledge about producing such images. ;)
But you could make the day of more than one mechanic...
AI is beyond you, right? And your expert eye saw nothing bad here???
Is there no risk of losing common sense with AI?
I only see something "terribly realistic" here, but it's not regarding the image itself.

yet most critics say soon all buyers will be creating their own images rather than buying stock! i use AI to create images i CANNOT photograph.
and there is no cost for using MJ or DALL-E

Yes, bad grip on the gun and the rear wheel is too far inside the wheel well. But... the shading and sepia effect, overall, it's a nice image for AI? Humans would do better.

What the AI does is really impressive, I don't know to what extent it is better for the client to generate them by himself paying for the platforms or to buy them made in Adobe...
and...good fingers finally ;)

mostly - now it's occ'ly onlyu showing 3 fingers (just as Disney animators did in early cartoons). but, yes, overall it's amazing

Spend your time learning something AI can't make.
They won't need us in a near future.

Midjourney vs Firefly. Which is better?

Spend your time learning something AI can't make.
But what would that be? Because if you put AI in an android body there is really absolutely no thing I can think of that an AI couldn't potentially do in the future.
Maybe programming AI? But how long before AI can do that too...?
And what once seemed like something for the "far future", like out of si-fi-movie, now doesn't seem so far fetched with how fast AI is suddenly progressing.

Nitpicking the problems with these images is pointless IMHO. The technology is so new and improving so quickly.

agree completely
wasn't nitpicking about the features - it's just amusing
i strongly endorse Midjourney
havent tried firefly, but did use DALL-E for several months. i used some of the same prompts with MJ and MJ consistently produced better work for me. the photorealistic results from DALL-E were not good enough to submit, but the MJ ones are already selling on AS

Another astounding image from Midjourney v5
(https://luisafumi-digitalart.com/blog/vintage-girl.jpg)
The fingers are not all that bad (maybe the little finger of the second right hand is a bit too long), but there is something casually alien here...anyway nothing that Photoshop with a bit of skill cannot take care of ;D

Maybe I'm wrong (already had a little red wine and first had to rub my eyes), but I still count 3 arms here and only one woman. And the sixth finger of her right second upper hand has the shape and length of a cuban cigar.
But probably I am too critical and old-fashioned.
Personally, I prefer women with only 2 arms ;)
Reminds me of these games here:
Search picture: Find the six mistakes in the right picture :D
In this sense I have then also a nice quote: Everyone sees only what he wants to see - Kurt Tucholsky
Edit:
Now that I have rubbed my eyes a few times and thought about what iritates me in this picture: The entire anatomy of the woman is not correct and is completely twisted.
The right breast is clearly larger than the left, the tension of the trapezius muscle does not match the head posture, apparently she has only one very prominent sternocleidomastoid muscle and a deformed left clavicle, the proportions of her left upper arm and forearm are not correct at all. Same with the proportions of the lower right arm. The wrist is much too narrow.
So, I think I have found the 6 errors ;)
-

That's correct anatomy though, it is actually more common for women to have different breast shape and size than symmetrical breasts. ;)
But you are right about the rest.
And I am wondering whether gameover was trolling us or really didn't see that the woman had 3 arms? How can you miss that? Or does looking at AI images for too long maybe make you forget how real things are supposed to look like? ;D
MJ can really produce astonishing images, but this isn't it.

Her Ugliness, there are few things more squalid and pathetic than explaining a joke to someone who missed the punchline. Do you really want me to do that, or would you rather give it another go?
RalfLiebhold, I'm afraid you missed a slight hepatomegalia, an asymmetric sphenoid, the navel being displaced a quarter of an inch to the right and, worse still, the split corpus callosum causing her somewhat lost expression.
Oh, and I assumed that the supernumerary fing... erh, cuban cigar was the parasol handle, poor me! ;D
I usually spend quite some time and toil on Photoshop to remove/correct those AI's hiccups (and that's probably why my works are rather well-accepted and profitable), but in this case it would have been worse than straightening the Leaning Tower of Pisa... ;D

Stopped looking after 6 errors, I'm sure there's more screwed up ;)
It may be because you don't necessarily know each other very well in a forum like this and actually have to admit that I missed the joke behind it too.
That reassures me because I really like your posts and examples on the subject so far. ;D
Also, I must confess that it took me an alarmingly long time to register the third arm. Somehow you don't expect something like that.

Speaking of confessions, I will admit that for quite a while I missed the third arm myself, enthralled as I was by so natural and elegant a pose.... as I realized it, I burst out laughing. So I thought to share the image to see how others reacted to it.
I'm happy to find out that I'm not alone :)

Art, as work/artwork of the mind by its transcendent dimension, should be reserved for Humans in its name. Afterwards, the AI creates stuff, yes, but that's not art.
That is Achtung! ;)

Good, I found a true work of Art, too bad the artist forgot an arm!!! On the other hand (uh, the missing one), the anatomy of the legs is just perfect!!! feet parallel in any situation ;D ;D

I do not know about all AI generation tools, but on Midjourney it is not allowed and a lot of keywords that could lead to such results are banned.

Bad hands, bad mug, another deformed finger, glasses are not right, Crucifix looks like a cheap trinket, three fingers on the left hand.

AI can't possibly bicker about AI as well as we do. So maybe that's what we all ought to be training to do. And possibly learn the art of doing nothing and meditating till the end of our lives.

The impact of AI on artists will depend on how it is developed and used, and how society perceives and values human-generated art compared to AI-generated art.
-
and how society perceives and values human-generated art compared to AI-generated art.
I don't think this will matter at all when human made and AI generated art simply cannot be distinguished.
How do you value one over the other when you do not know which is which, at least from a customer's point of view?

True, I didn't look in detail. Yes, it could be done with PS, but it requires pretty serious skill plus it is incredibly hard to find matching images to make proper photomanipulation. You know, with same perspective, shot with similar focal length etc. So I didn't see many realistic manipulations with famous people, more like memes or caricatures etc. This is easier to do and more available to masses.
Here is one more (made with AI, of course).

AI should not be doing creations of real people, let alone famous people in fake situations.

Yes but they are supposed to have limitations on what can be requested. I used to have cats, they trained me pretty good. ;)
