I had regular sales before the big changes a few months back. Absolutely zero since. (I have almost exclusively images, not footage)

Agree with Marcvstvllivs. Sales aren't too frequent for me for the last 5-6 months.  I still get a few video sales and some still sales, but not like in the past. Waiting to see where they take their business. Could be a long wait, too.

Got 150-230$ per months with about 500 videos, just being a contributor 6 months ago and suffered from 2 moths review.

The sales are unpredictable but I hope that it should do better than this.

After 10 years of existence this is what you get.
Slow motion is their best sellers and the hope their favorite PR shout.
Wonder how long investors patience is going to last.

That is one amazing number of assets. Are they all video or a mix of stills?

have to agree. just another site now. used to be good. never had a rejection since day one. Now...all the time. Guess what I do is not good enough Now all of a sudden. Oh well. the ones that count are getting smaller. SS is red Hot for august, FT is still going very strong and finally some very good movement at DT. I took a chance on Colorbox because all ya have to do is upload and I like try a new site every now and then, Nothing else to do. ftp and Hit send and done.. I sent them 6300 and they accepted everything except My Proven Best sellers. I deleted everything the next day. Quite bizarre. Big stock is still bringing up the rear. I stay there Because of bridge to Bigstock and no other reason. Some of you probably weren't around but in the beginning Bigstock was a very cool Little site.

I never had much success with P5 until the changes a few months ago.  Now I get a few video sales a month but almost never images.  My portfolio there is just over 500 clips and images.  It's weird because the same images sell on other sites all day.

How are video sales on Pond5 these days compared to SS?

Our August sales on Pond5 are awful, about 1/6 of Shutterstock (same collections). There is definetely no pattern though.

adijr

have 2 videos on p5. Make about 1 sale per month - so roughly $10.

I know, my stats are so useful :)

Actually, if you have two videos and sell 1 per month...that's pretty good!

What do folks think the 2nd best site $$wise (compared to SS) is for editorial videos?

Part of the problem there is the massive rejections. They are picking and choosing pictures based on their perceived need, and since they do not have a means to house a very large collection, they try to avoid having too many pictures on the same theme.

I wrote to them a while back asking why so many rejections and that's what they told me anyway, not with the same words, but basically that. And that they were thinking about creating an artist hub where they would communicate to us their needs.

I haven't uploaded there in a long time. IT is a waste of my precious time.

Doesn't sound very encouraging. Regarding not having the means to store a large collection...don't quite get that, it's not as if they are putting video tapes in cardboard boxes.
