Am I the only one or is someone else seeing a drop (with a capital D) in sales at Veer?

While they've never been a high performer for me, however in recent months there seems to be a pretty noticeable slack off in downloads, and also the occasional better -rated downloads seem to have vanished.  Just wondering is it it just me.. or is this a trend that others have been noticing as well..  :-\

Sales are pretty random at Veer. Has not been moving in the right direction for a long time for me.

When I reach the payout I'm done with them,I'll close my account there.

They've been dead for me for years.

I made about $500 in 2012. So far this year I'm at about $250. So sales are at about half of what they were a year ago. Plus the fact that they have the longest review times of all the stock sites.

Looks like a company trending in the wrong direction.

I have been with them since Oct 2010.  When I first started I sold an extended licence every 6 months or so which made a big difference, but I haven't had one since Jan 2012.  It is a very very long haul to the $100 payout without them.

I am also feeling that they are not worth the effort any more.  Perhaps if they reduced the payout threshold to $30 like Bigstock I would see the point again.

Veer are pathetic. I think I've made one sub sale in four weeks. They are way down at the bottom of the barrel.

I dropped them back in 2012.

For me they quickly became one of those numerous low earners whose marketing strategy seems to be -  "if you build it they will come".

I was going to write that they were hopeless - with occasional bursts of extended license goodness - but thought I should check my numbers first :)

I have only 800-something images with Veer. I stopped uploading after the Alamy train wreck as they wouldn't do anything about their partner situation. However my 2013 sales to date are higher than 2012! Nothing to get excited about but still higher.

2012 was 180 sales for $420.29 and 2013 so far has been 236 sales for $779.84

I still won't give them any more work unless they straighten out their reviewing and their compensation and terms for partner sales.

This year I am about 2/3 of what I made there last year which was barely above what I made the year before. They do seem to be trending the wrong direction plus the last EL I had there was clawed back a month later... Still, they can have good months and are ahead of 123RF and BS and the rest of the small fry for the year. I'll stick with them for a while, but they have not lived up to their earlier promise.

My sales at Veer are bad and getting worse.  Down 70% last year to this, leaving then at #12 behind even StockFresh.  Some of that may be their low upload limits and low acceptance rate, but my guess is that a bigger portfolio wouldn't make that much of a difference in my sales there.

Truly feeble sales.
Incredibly long approval system
and then - last time - they rejected 96% of submissions for not being good enough for them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reality check required I think (for them I mean - my photos do ok elsewhere!)!

When I read the title of this thread I was thinking "if you are getting sales at Veer you're definitely the only one!".  ;)

I've experienced the same thing.  I used to make payout most months at Veer, but the last few months it has been taken me three months to hit payout.

Makes me regret the almost two years I labored under their 50/week upload limit to get my portfolio on there.

Absolutely. With almost 7k images there, I am making only a tiny fraction of what I made a couple of years ago when I had around 3k there.  Adding images has no effect whatsoever.

Giving anything to Veer is an exercise in futility and has been for a while.

"Veer is a very good site"

The only thing they are good at is the following:

1. Slow Reviews
2. Setting up load limits to a crazy low amount compared to all the other companies
3. Unreal rejections
4. Too high of a payout
5. Website down very often
6. POOR SALES

Other than that they are a GOOD COMPANY- NOT!

Looks like there's plenty of people in the same boat. Personally I'm on the verge of giving up on them... unfortunate!  :(

From the POV of an illustrator: Veer tends to have some wild swings both in reviewing and sales. Last month was bad, the one before was good, and I am having a pretty good November there, $25+ sales this week. Veer is worth submitting to for me.

It does rather feel like that - that they can't be bothered as they know there is no future for the site.

The font size and colour you have used make it impossible to read!  I hadn't even realised you had typed anything else there until you made this second comment.  What does it say?
