Have you not seen the latest development over at istock? They are starting a logo section.

EXCLUSIVE, SOLD ONCE logos! Aren't you going to start your exclusive logo section?

They are offering us, designers only %50 for sold once exclusive logos!

Show us what you can do! Have you got a better deal? Remember this is exclusive. So I am ready to contribute exclusive logos to the company that comes with the best deal!

Keep in mind http://www.brandstack.com is an established place to sell and buy logos and they pay %85, giving us the opportunity to set our own prices.

So, let's see what you can offer guys. This is all exclusive. Nobody can contribute to multiple websites so whoever pays the best commission will win!

I'm sure we will see some similar activity soon from at least on of them.

How have you found brandstack? A good earner? Do you think the micros are better placed to better brandstack?

I think they should separate illustrations (and logos) and photographs in 2 different sites. They should not be mixed together.

Surely brandstack has less traffic! But, they don't have 8 million photos to share that traffic with. They used to be all about logos. Recently started to accept print designs.

SS or fotolia are higher placed on web rankings but most of that traffic is about photos so brandstack should not be bad at all. There are many opportunities for vector artists on the web. The websites on the right column are just a fraction of what can be done.

I am not on vectorstock.com for example but I know that it outsells 123rf and BigStock easily for vector artists. It is not even in top 20 on the list to the right. :) Vector artists have to think differenlty from photographers. This forum is great as it covers lots of ground about the business we are doing but it is still poor information considering vectors.

Agreed. You really have to read through some info and opinions that don't really apply at all to illustrators. VectorStock being a good example. While I think the low royalties hinder it, it definitely deserves a higher ranking on the chart. Definitely above Canstock and Crestock. I'm not sure if it is just me, but I don't think Canstock gets a lot of illustration buyer traffic. Fotolia used to be like that, but illustrations sell pretty well there now.

I agree with all you said. vectorstock is not a site I will currently contribute because of their low pricing. Royalties are kind of acceptable as it is possible to make %50 after you reach certain ranking. But the prices are what's putting me off.

Not gonna give my vectors away for $1. That will surely hurt me on my earnings on other sites in the long run once the buyers discover they can find my images for $1.
