I have stopped uploading to Wirestock and plan to delete my portfolio of over 800 images because they are not working for me. With this new Upgrade system they want you to pay is a big joke. Forget them!!!

I must have missed their communication, and it took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on.

If I understood it correctly, they set a limit to "free" easy submissions

0-70% approval rate / 30 easy submissions
70-80% approval rate / 300 easy submissions
80-90% approval rate / 1000 easy submissions
90-100% approval rate / 5000 easy submissions

The limit will be reset on 5/1/2022

Going premium at 9.99$ will get you:

Additional 100 Easy Submissions
Faster keywording and review: Wait no more than 48 hours.
24/7 support: Round-the-clock customer service.
Download files with metadata up to 500GB: Store and access your files with metadata anytime

I don't really understand who would need all of that. I have an upload limit of 5000 easy submissions which will be reset on the first of May.
No way I'm able to shoot and process 5000 stockworthy images in one month! Maybe pro's with very high production volumes can use the faster keywording, reviewing and support service, but for them, I would really expect Wirestock to take the extra effort anyhow without expecting contributors to pay.
Also: 9.99$ will get you 100 additional easy submissions on top of 5000. That's ridiculous!

That said: not sure why Wirestock isn't working for you. They are barely an agency, and a mainly distributor, so your content probably won't work either if you decided to upload it yourself to the agencies supported by Wirestock.

Yes @Roscoe anyone at 80% still has 1,000 easy submissions, it doesn't say if that's a year or what but I don't use that because I want the "good" keywords. I suppose people who care if the review is 48 hours or 72 hours $9.99 will make them happy. Downloading my own files? I already have them, that's how I uploaded.  :)

Maybe they didn't announce the exciting news yet? I didn't get anything either. I don't do 1,000 new images a month in a good month. I think you hit the one kind of account that might. Someone who shoots thousands of images a month and doesn't want to spend the time or pay someone else.

Sorry, because as much as I like WS for the distribution to places where I have no account and don't want one, I still upload to AS, SS, DT and IS. I do my own keywords and descriptions. The keywording free or otherwise just doesn't have the details of many images, and misses because it's just a generic description. Maybe I need to upload a new test image to see if they got better. But a superficial description doesn't meet what I'd expect to attract buyers.

For free or for pay, I'm not going to upload images and trust someone in Malta or wherever, to understand the specifics of what I shoot.

at least till now, the limit has been uploads/week - now it looks like they may be changing to upl/mo as  the limits are higher than previously

Thanks, I just don't have the volume and I don't plan on paying someone to take 15% of my money. I'm happy with free distribution and I do the keywords, as they are already done for others that I supply myself.

Upgrade? Not for some of us.

after having problems uploading more than 5 images at a time, support told me:

We still have some issues with upload functionality. Currently, all the upload options (FTP, Google Drive and Dropbox) are not available. Please upload via browser for now and please limit your upload batches to 700MB at a time

of course, i also tried the browser & well under 700MB and still had problems!

WS support has gotten a lot better recently - and looks like they will be eliminating the 1 MB req shortly

Ridiculous rejections, they say, This is work in progress, we are working closely with our content review team to have more consistent acceptance criteria in line with our partner agency requirements. Uploads doesn't work right, Before the end of this month including faster uploads of video files, FTP/gdrive/dropbox full support. Errors on the Portfolio page, Will be fixed before the end of this month. Promises are vacant and have been wrong for many months. Now the upgrad shows on the dashboard.
