P5 resurected after long droughts Im still thinking that your experiment is just councidence, because many contributors have seen signs of life on P5 for sure, P5 left as our last hope, with very lively AS

Are you seeing 40% revenue growth on Pond5 this month from last month with keeping the same price?

I just had the best months on P5 this year, i sell my content bettween 199 and 299, and i dont sell the clips at 199 not that much more often, so i will make all my prices for 4K at 299$ and i think you could also increase your port prices, at least to 199$ you would make more return over the whole year. But you have to test it for at least 6 months, because otherwise you dont get a clear view of it, because some months could be lower, leading you to the wrong conclusion, increase the prices for 6 months, than campare it to the last 6 months. Also make sure your prices for HD is the same or at least close to the 4K otherwise the customers might buy the HD clip.

thanks to solid data earnings and few premium sales, earnings are way higher then average but its because of multiple factors dont get me wrong - Im supporting higher prices all the way, but Im sure that P5 could help us with our exclusive portfolios we are with their program from the begining, bit it is hard to judge if it is worth my non-exclusive portflolio still earns and I havent submited anything for more than 3 years

If you have frequent sales, you don't need 6 months to see the price test result.  I usually get a clear picture in 2 weeks to month of price test.  I may try $199/HD $299/4K on my bestsellers to see how they do.

Slow start in May, but still nice to see getting 60% on high price HD sales.  No $2.80 video sub sales I hated seeing on Adobe Stock.

Had a nice sales day today on Pond5.  No $2.80 video sub sales.  All exclusive, all 60% commission and all high price.  I love it.  I hope it's like this everyday on a weekday.  $117/HD is my lowest HD video price on Pond5 right now.  If you are pricing your clips at $25-49/HD, you probably are just giving away your clips for much less than the buyer would've paid for.  Customers get all their cheap stock videos on StoryBlocks and other unlimited download and cheap video sub sites.  They come to Pond5 to buy clips they couldn't find on those cheap stock sites.  And YouTubers who only use unlimited download sites would never buy on Pond5.

are those 4k sales discounted or you are giving them that low?!

That's my price for non-bestsellers.  I took advice from Pond5 stuff who told me closer the price of 4k to HD price, buyers are more likely to buy 4k clips.  Also, 80% of sales are HD.  So, it's more important to have higher HD price to increase revenue.  If they buy 4K instead of HD, that'll result in higher revenue too.

yes, but what about others who keep standard 199usd for 4k?! Wasnt better to set your HD price close to 199USD, if for buyers price is not important?!

I have my bestsellers priced at $199/4k and $149/HD.  I want non-bestsellers to be priced lower than that.  That's why I have them at $149/4k and then I raised HD price from $74 to $119 recently.  Please do your own price test and share the results like I do here, or make your own thread.  Thanks.

I understand your concerns, but you do encourage race to the bottom with 4k discounts

LOL

Your prices are lower than mine.  So, I don't take your comments seriously.  I'm trying to warn those who price clips at dirt cheap that they aren't doing themselves any favor and just losing money on potential higher revenue.  Also, I don't price my clips at ridiculously high level.  I'm just trying to find optimum price to maximize my revenue.

Im talking about 4k you know what I am talking about in your case, content is a key, not prices but, with 4k priced lower then standard, you do misguide others with your strategy

I'm not sure what happened for me - but I uploaded a new set of clips to pond5 last year - and then sales dropped by about 75%... Was hoping it would recover, but it's been like that now... Doesn't really make sense. Any insights?

I have stopped with uploads for a while and actually sales went up maybe it is coincidence, but last few months are promissing maybe system reindexing or algorithm change gave some boost
