Hi all, I'm an absolute newbie here, and a fresh newbie in stock photo.
The point is: a few days ago I went on GL Stock and sent 20 application images, some days passed, then a mail from GL informed me that:

"Unfortunately, we are not accepting new contributors at this time. We will contact you when we resume accepting new contributors. We will keep your account open so that you may resubmit your images at that time. Thanks"

Is it just a polite way to say me "we don't want your crap?" Or they just have to take a breath?

Thank you, and BTW I've to say that this is a very useful forum for many people.
Yure

I would guess that they have bee nswamped with contributors leaving exclusivity at iS and uploading to every site and need some time t0 catch up. Don't sweat it, just wait for them to get in touch again soon.

I am sorry, but yes, they must have had a huge influx of exclusives like me. In a few months our files will be online and hopefully they can take new contributors again. It is a lovely site. I hope they also get growing sales.

Well, at least you have your name going for you: Yure.

(FYI, one of the top-selling microstock artists of all time is called Yuri)

Dont worry too much. I joined them a couple of months ago with a good portion of my well selling pictures.

and...
I have not had a single sale.

So, Ill probably be out of there again soon.

Oh, well, I joined several other sites recently, applying and uploading: quite a time expensive job even if I have a small portfolio (not more than 90 pics today). Having to wait for one more is not a problem, it means I have more free time for a while.

I know about Yuri Arcurs: I was hesitant about using a nikname similar to his name (actually, is the same name: his is the Russian version, mine is a modification of the Slovenian version), but "Yure" is my nickname in real life, so I used it. Hoping Arcurs don't sue me for trademark infringement :).
