Although I have done stock-photography for some 20 years, now and then you get a fresh breath of air and I am talking about GL, just in opening the site you can easily see by its layouts and briefs that there is plenty of graphic knowledge in these guys.
Now, if its gonna be any serious money around, well? that remains to be seen but its really nice to see that in these digital days, some people will try and do their best.
Well done GL-people.

best. Christian ( clager)

how do we transfer the files from the "upload queue" to the pending area.  I tried the "submit for review" on a couple images but that did not seem to do anything

found answer in another thread; the upload queue is for the GL staff to have a first look at the images; nothing we do to move them, they are moved to pending by GL staff.  So far love the site; hoping for sales also

All you have to do is upload and forget about it with GL.  I don't have model or property releases though, so that might need more work.

I also like the site, it's just much nicer on the eye than some of the old sites.  They have done a great job of keeping it simple and making our images look good.  Sales have been quite good there, they dipped a bit when the site became well know by contributors but that's understandable.

They also have a good referral scheme, so here's my referral link.

Hi Sharp!

well thats just it!  lots of thought has gone into design, layouts, etc, easily navigated a joy to upload, etc. Just hope they stay clear of all wannabees and riff-raff and getting-rich-over-night-merchants. ;)

You can reprice your images though so remember to do this if you are an illustrator and don't want to sell more complex illustrations at the  lowest price.

P.S. I'm another big fan of GL

Like I posted in another thread - encouraging sales for the first few months, then it died.  Nothing since November.  Still hopeful, since they're not loaded with the usual junk; but if they're using popularity-based ranking, I'm probably already dead.
