I found one of my photo books (Georgian Bay Panoramas) advertised as a free PDF download on download-genius.com (and unfortunately also on other sites).

Sent them a DMCA Take Down letter, and then I searched for some more links to this site and found out that they take detailed info and some money from prospective downloaders, but never deliver anything.
I don't know if they have indeed scanned the entire book (only 64 pages) and have it on their server. If yes, then I have a problem. If not, then they inflict more damage to the gullible would-be downloaders than to the image or book creators.

.Top is currently ranked #9 domain type in terms of registrations, surely helped by a 99 cent price tag at some registrars. The company behind it, Jiangsu Bangning Science & Technology Co., Ltd., is also raising awareness by sending spam to people who own other domain names.
