I have found an image from my istock portfolio on a facebook page shared at large size 2716 x 1810. Can images be shared on social media?
Thanks.

It's not about where it's shared - any web site doing this would be violating the license to do this. The license forbids the unmodified image being displayed on the web above a certain size. I think it's 1200 x 800 or thereabouts.

Inexplicably, Ts doesn't have a size restriction like that, as was pointed out in an msg thread a while back.

It may be that the OP doesn't have images on TS, or this particular image has not sold from there, of course.

Note especially:
"Just received an answer from Istock to my ticket regarding the web size restrictions at TS:

I'm surprised there wasn't more comment about this at the time.

Thank you for your replies. The image was not licensed through TS, it is a istock standard license.

Contact CR at iS, then, if you haven't already.

I will do that, but was wondering if anyone has had experience with this issue. This why I asked here.

I did, I contacted CR, and they asked the buyer to either reduce in size or alter the image. In fact, it wasn't quite the same as yours. They had it on a regular website, but had used FP, so although the image was small on the page, if you clicked on it, the image was full sized. Possibly they walked them through how to resize; in any case, the next time I looked, only the small image was there, with no clickthrough to a larger version.

Thanks. If a client bought a license how many times can they use the image? On how many websites?
