I have just started uploading to Fotolia. 6 mp images.  So the way I understand it I can pick any price for extended lic. up to $20.  Is this what people are typically doing or is there a more effective strategy?

good question.. i have no idea how to pick a price.  I have been just selecting the most expensive i can.. i dunno if that is the best though :S

A good question indeed.  I just started uploading to them as well and after searching for info on how everyone was pricing theres and not finding much, I just decided to go with $10 on all of them.  I figured half way between cheap and expensive and I couldn't go wrong.  We'll see if I ever sell any that way.

If I remember the rules correctly, you can only start picking your prices (not only for extended licenses, but even for regular sales) once you achieve a certain number of downloads.

I don't think this is true because once you upload your photos and you go to finish them off they give you an option at the bottom to enter a number between 1 and 20.  I don't think they would do that if you weren't eligibile. Seems silly to give the option if it isn't truly available.  I could be wrong though.

Indeed, it's only the basic image price I can't change, the extended license is free to be set between 1 and 20 credits.

I choose the highest - $20.  If someone whats it for an extended licence purpose, the difference between $10 and $20 isn't much.  i wonder if even $20 is too little.

haven't had any EL sales so maybe I have priced too high.

The amount you can set your Extended license sales increases as you get higher ranked. I think I have mine set at $50 and have already had two sales which netted $18.50 each. Nice

I have had only 1 sale.. but that was one of the images that sneaked through with a $20, or $10 extended license that i goofed up on once.

nice to see that some people are buying the $50 extended license though.  I think i will keep mine there.

Speak of the devil, I just sold one for $10.  Now I'm thinking I might need to raise that...  Hmmm...

Anyone know if there is an easy way to change the extended license price for all your photos at one time?  I thought I remember reading something about that but maybe I made that up...

I contacted support and they changed all for me.  Not sure, but I don't think there is a way to change them globally on your own.
