I wonder if these girls (the company that produced the video, Ark Music Factory, has bunches of them!) write these songs themselves or if Ark has a pile of bad songs for them to choose from.

I wonder if they used the same people who wrote the latest Fotolia ad in Photoshop User magazine.

You guys are going to stop laughing when you hear this.  This week I saw a little spot on tv about this kid and "they" estimated that she has earned around a million from this freakin song with itunes and the ads on youtube.  Can't remember who "they" was - maybe Forbes?

Ugh, people have been singing it non-stop at my work for weeks now.  I finally saw the video and had to be restrained from gauging my eyes out with chopsticks. 

Sad thing is that the girl originally didn't realize she was the butt of so many jokes.  She thought she was getting so many hits because it was great.  Good Morning America shared some viewer comments with her I heard and she cried...One of the winning comments..."I hope she gets an eating disorder so she becomes pretty." 

Tough for a 13 year old to take I would imagine but it's good to see she's making big $$ on her Dad's $2,000 investment.

I saw that too Mat.  I honestly felt really bad for her.  It is a terrible, terrible song.  Obviously this falls on her parents and her agent, both of which should be fired for getting her to sing something like this.  I don't think a 12/13 yr old girl is in a position to make that judgement call.  She's been exploited, and it is really sad that so many people are laughing at her.  I wish people would consider her age, and consider how they would feel if everyone were laughing at their daughter.

That said, she is making a killing.  And that too is truly sad.

My father was a singer for his entire life, and made a huge mark in rock music.  Cancer took him last year, but I wonder what his take on this song would be?  If you do a web search on me, you can probably figure out who my father is, lol.
