Close to BME in March and so far this month sales have been spectacular. If it carries on like this it will be a massive BME but I am waiting for the sales to be 'switched off' again as usually seems to happen.

I tend to find my sales at DT appear in bizarre cycles of say 10 days of 'feast' followed by 2 weeks of 'famine'. I get the impression from the search results that different contributors are 'favoured' (or not) over time according to some unknown algorithm.

I agree with your feast or famine cycle theory, I have experienced a very similar patern there too.

I suppose its better than always being at the bottom like at some other agencies.  (wonder who I might be talking about)

Dreamstime has been quite good for me the last 4 months.
Personally I believe it is a combination of increasing pricing due to images reaching higher levels and that I have been uploading more lately.

Agreed, when I was exclusive, this never happened, always steady.  Now, get good sales for many days followed by complete dry spells.

Ultra-drop if compared with last three months:

Yes!  Same here.  I'm in the famine cycle at the moment.

I agree with the previous comments.  My sales pattern at Dreamstime seems to be bi-polar.  Last month was my BME but sales so far in May are definitely in "famine" mode.

Interesting - I always find in the first week or so of a month things look terrible, and then they turn around and I end up better than the month before.  I too think they cycle between new/old.  I also find my referrals who have small portfolios and are not exclusive tend to sell early in the month when I'm doing poorly, and never when I'm doing well.  I like this approach (if that is what is going on), as it seems to give new files a chance to take off, while still promoting the higher level stuff.

To answer hose's question, I have noticed a slight downward trend in sales (buy not revenue) in the last three months.  I experienced the same thing in 2010 around this time of year.

Daevid

In general, sales are down for me there, but this month is suddenly kicking all kinds of a$$.

madelaide

I can't complain this month, it is a good reverse of the subs prevailance, with some nice credit sales on level 3 and 5 images.

If this would only last...

Same feast or famine pattern with me, too.

WarrenPrice

I too had noticed that pattern ... good week/bad week.  Good to read that it isn't my imagination ... again.   :P

Yep, feast and famine with me too. I've noticed this trend for a long time now. Good during first week and last week of the month but hardly anything in between.

My sales this month have dropped through the floor, very disappointed but hey it could pick up again last week of the month (keeping fingers crossed)

mine are stable, which is a "drop" in a sense since at most other sites are growing (except IS)

I guess the similarity issue has something to do with it

Feb - $68.39
Mar - $55.40
Apr - $38.40
May - $18.13

bright future :)

NO!  I would rather say an increase in sales,  had a terrific day yesterday.

Mine has been pretty level. I would like a pick up a little, so I can make payout on this month. $8 off of it.
Some sites say they give you a crown but in reality, it is just a polished toilet seat.
