I normally get two ELs at SS a month.

However, starting last week, the EL floodgates opened.  I have received a dozen and counting in just four days and change.  Several of those came over the weekend, which is really baffling.

Image subject matter is all over the place, so I don't think it's the same buyer.

And I don't think it's due to the end of the Summer Slump, because my SS sales started picking up right around Sept 1 and have been steady since then.  The EL rush started in the last few days.

Anyone else seeing a rise in these?  Something must be triggering the increase.  Could SS be promoting ELs more heavily?  Should I be concerned that these aren't legitimate sales (bad credit cards, etc?)

Not me.  I got 7 last month and only 3 so far this month.

Nothing special here, in fact, I have less than normal this month, but congrats to your success ;-)

Yes, I got 22 ELs this month. Very unusual. But I think they are legit.

3 Els last month (small port, less than 200), but I think one person bought 2 of them. Far more than the usual amount of ODs this month. Big increase in sales all around for me, starting from the second week of September.

Congratulations on the abundance of ELs!  Lovely 

I've had better months than this for ELs.  But sometimes it seems to me that there's an exceptionally high flood of sales of all types after an unusually quiet day or two.  On those days I wonder if there was a problem with sales registering on the quiet days, and the flood is the system catching up.

Has anyone else experienced that?

So do I. Starting on Sept 22, I got 6 ELs in 5 days. It surprised me too, made me wonder what is going on.

I've got 4 from there this month. A good month for me is usually 2, a typical month is 0.

I'm jealous. I've got one EL this month, which is already above average.

Huge month at SS for EL's. 8 in one day a few days ago. amazing.

I got 2 more since I posted three hours ago! Like I said above, that's as many as I normally get in month.

Something is going on, but it only seems to be affecting some people. It can't just be just affecting photographers, I do vectors. And my ELs show no discernable pattern; the images are old and new, illustrations of various concepts.

Well maybe a little?  then again the Oringer crowd are pretty full of ideas, avenues, etc,  and they handle it right!  they run their agency the way an agency should be run, consequently we are all reaping the benefints.

Whatever cosmic rays have struck you guys that are getting all the ELs, they missed me.   Nothing happening.

When things seem too good to be true, they probably are. 

The EL streak has been continuing for me everyday (5 so far today) and I'm still concerned there's something fishy going on.

These started rolling in all of a sudden late last week.  Does anyone know if SS started some big marketing push, or perhaps they're promoting ELs differently on the site now?  I'm trying to find something that makes sense to explain this, or I'm going to start thinking there's a hacker with a fake credit card out there downloading all the images he can until the hack is caught and shut down, and all these downloads are removed from our accounts.

Hopefully I'm just paranoid and I should just relax and enjoy this run while it lasts.
