From Nikon's facebook page:

QuoteA photographer is only as good as the equipment he uses, and a good lens is essential to taking good pictures! Do any of our facebook fans use any of the NIKKOR lenses? Which is your favorite and what types of situations do you use it for?

I do have some old nikkor lenses I can let go cheap!

Me five.

Companies will say anything, and if Nikon says it, then I'm stupid enough to believe it's true, right?  ;)

I'm not a fanboy. Only will be one, when Nikon, Canon, Sony and even Olympus support ($$) my equipment LOL

Use Canon because "used market", friends group and some specif lens that I pretend to have in future.

BTW, I use glasses.. ( dam computers ) and are Nikon lenses  ;D

/IRONIC MODE ON

Maybe if i go Nikon, will have more result on sales?

The bad  is that some well know agency will drop comission for Canon users.  ::)

/IRONIC MODE OFF

Thinking about this.  Maybe I should switch to Leica.  Then I'll be as good as Cartier Bresson, right?  :)

...and with any equipment, even point and shoots.

I started out Nikon and switched to Canon because of the 5d mark II, Nikon doesn't have a camera in the same range megapixels, full frame for the money. The D700 just doesn't have enough, especially for stock in my opinion. I loved Nikon's focusing system though, if they had a competing camera with the mark II, I probably would have gone with it. Happy with both Canon and Nikon though.

I still enjoy getting Els from my first dslr, which was a 6mp Pentax and I shot mostly with the kit lens, not to mention the 5 or 6 sales I had from it where my revenue was each worth $100 or more. Probably those who bought the licenses don't even know what camera the images were taken with.

"We need" adjust it for Micro Stock:

an amatuer worries about views
a professional worries about downloads
a master worries about comission rate

Oh, well... That's why I use Canon equipment.  ;)

Haha. Yep, Nikon is absolutely right. I got rid of my Nikon stuff for Canon and I'm a much better photographer.  :o

Seriously though. I get what they're saying and people are way overreacting.

I am a Nikon shooter and I find this to be so cringe-worthy, but it's come out of the marketing dept. Forgive them for they are just trying to sell stuff.

Perhaps the old chestnut "he who dies with the most toys wins" would have be more humourous and gotten their point across in a more elegant manner.

I love that I will remember that - I am always watching light - I must be a master..... lol

So since so many pros are using Iphones to capture great images does that mean an Iphone is better than a Nikon?  ;D
