Hi xxxx

Thank you for contacting us.

The ASA changes in September now adds all non-excluisve contributor's content to the partner program sites.  It is no longer an optional program for non-exclusive members.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

You can opt out by disabling your images or deleting your entire portfolio at IS. I agree it is the "nuclear" option, but it still exists. Only you can decide if the drop in income is worth the drop in blood pressure.

a1bercik,  note that the transfer of non-exclusive IS images to TS seems to be happening so slowly that it's not even an immediate concern.   So far I have exactly 1 image on TS.   Maybe it will never go beyond that before IS decides to to abandon that plan and do something different... or is sold again,  or folds up.

No there is no opt-out for us regarding partners program but as already mentioned you can disable images ( nuclear option), to some extent I chose that one, disabling around 100 files and many of my best sellers with well over 1000 dls, a piece, reason being: dont wish to flaunt imagery of that caliber on a site like TS, also bear in mind, I found other and much better grounds for them ( made a bit of a private deal actually).

Anyway, DONT, start disabling images, unless you have somewhere equally earning good revenues, its pointless.

best.

In the last 2 weeks, I've gone from 0 to 13 images (from about 2500 images total) on Thinkstock/photos.com. I keep expecting things to speed up, but although they can dump 70K+ EdStock images from Getty to iStock, they apparently do not have the technology to move the independent content from iStock to the partner program sites.

Same here. For me they're still at the one-image-per-week pace, so it looks like I'm still on the 7-year plan for getting all of my current content migrated over to ThinkStock.

Not that I'm complaining. For once istock's ineptitude is benefitting me.

The only explanation for the slow transfer that I can come up with is that someone needs to look at each image, and 'inspect' it in some sense, before it shows up at TS.   My guess is that they've set up an automated process that trickles images to TS at a rate they can manage.  No idea what they might be checking, or looking for.  Maybe they're using this opportunity to do some sort of housecleaning.

What's interesting to me, and I thought this would eventually happen, is that my PP sales are skyrocketing and my IS downloads are about dead.  Most of my money was made from IS then I'd get 30 20 percent more from PP.  Now it's 65% from PP and 45 from IS.  Really typical of what I forecasted would happen so I am not surprised.  I can probably make a more statistical conclusion with six months more of data, but it looks like that is the direction IS is forcing on indys.
