I think I lost some of my model relases do  you think soft copy would still be valid ,or had I better ask for new ones? it is not always possible thoguh

for agencies, a soft copy is all they need

for yourself, you may need a hard copy only in case a model sues you, but hopefully that won't happen, especially if models don't know you lost the hard copy
