Crazy video. I did not know about this. I have to be honest and say that I am not super happy about it because I do not think this video does justice to Jesper's character. I do not like that I was not contacted prior to the creation of it, because had the creator contacted me, I could have told him that Jesper is, in fact, not the most downloaded man in the world. He's far from, actually. Because of this, the video becomes a strange person's quest to make a youtube hit, for the sole purpose of self promotion, as we clearly see in the end of the video. Having Jesper read out loud a well-scripted statement about where to go if you want quality images, is in my eyes.... Well I probably should not say that here. The fact that Jesper is not the most downloaded male model unfortunately intrudes on the pride of some of my other models, which actually are the most downloaded in the world. We are in the process of filing for a Guinness World Record on behalf of our top female and male model, and when this goes through it will make this video seem a little silly and not very well researched. I also do not like that they got a hold of Jesper's personal contact information without my consent. This means that at least one of our distribution partners has broken our privacy policy, which we now have to spend time following up on.

I'm sorry Yuri but I really don't understand this part (maybe my english is just not so good)... are you the only "owner" of his contact informations? It seems a bit.... weird... what if he obtained Jesper's contact infos via another channel?

I totally understand Yuri on this one. I always tell the people I shoot that they should not worry AT ALL about their contact information being shared with anyone, so I really hope that the guy didn't get it from an agency... They wouldn't be allowed to share Jesper's contact information, would they?   
That being said, I think the video is very funny. 

I'm pretty sure it's quite easy to get this guy's contact info without the "help" of an agency.

Since his face IS all over the place I'm sure people in his neighborhood know about his whereabouts.

It would be concerning though if an agency actually did release that information.

On another note. How could anyone claim to be the most "downloaded" person?

Wouldn't that be Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and the likes? I'm sure those VIPs have billions of downloads. Way more than Yuri ever sold (no offense!).

It's Yuri's ASSUMPTION that the only source of addresses for models is his model release file that is interesting, along with his anger over someone making a claim that he disputes and that interferes with his promotional activities. It's very control-freakish, but then I suppose thats how he got where he is.

When he talks about "our distribution partners who have broken our privacy policy" it sounds as if he is talking as an agency that supplies partner agencies - if that is so, why does he supply them with model releases? If he is talking about the micros, then it would be a serious breach of their policies, rather than his, to give out model details since we are not allowed to dictate terms to micros.

Gotta say it was.pretty smart to use a well known ( overused ) stock model to extols the virtues of custom imagery.  Obviously with his consent.  Sounds like an in house squabble.

Funny, I wouldn't pick him out in the street as the guy in those images.

Easy.  Search Denmark agencies.  Find agent.  Email agent requesting contact with model.  Or something.  I doubt there was any nefarious 'dragon tatoo' sneakiness.

My english is not very good.. but anyway..

I tested this.. if you know the face.. it's not hard to find a model and take contact him.. little google and that's all. I found Jespers agent and contact very fast..

One thing is pretty obvious throughout the video, and that is Yuri's outstanding concepts and lighting.

I can understand Yuri's concerns about model privacy.  It is one of my concerns too, especially considering all my models are amateur.  But in Jesper's case, being a pro model, I guess he is much easier to find.  Looks like Jarih had no trouble finding him. 

As far as agencies giving out info, a number of times I have been contacted by people, including journalists,  looking for contact info, and they were not able to find out from any of the agencies.  The most they were able to get was first name and last last initial from one site that published that (Crestock), but NOTHING else.  I knew Crestock had publicly viewable model names, so that's why I only used first names and last initials there.  If you have model full names stored at Crestock I would change them if you are concerned about privacy.  Other than that, I think our model info is safe with the micros. 

I have been contacted in the past about a certain model, and I passed the mail onto them.  What happens after that....?

All you need is for the models to upload a photo with their face on it on facebook on a public profile, twitter, flickr or something with their account name and then they can easily be found. I am also worried about this. A couple of the female models I've taken have been targeted for silly online jokes and comments and guys with nothing else to do online write and brag about how they found out their names and place of birth etc etc ....

Yuri, are you sure you have in your portfolio the most downloaded female? I think my sister can easily compete or overtake Cecile and the other two popular females you have.  I wouldn't know in your portfolio if it is Cecile, the young blond lady or the brunette that always shows up with Jesper.
