Hi there, I have serarched a few forums (as a former lurker) but cant find the specific answer to this one. If I have keyworded my images in CS5 Bridge - do I need to repeat the keywords with the different agencies each time or do they 'stick'?

hi, the keywords will written to your image (iptc) and every agency will be able to see them when you upload

Not micro, but some here submit to Alamy, where the keywords are stripped out.

Thanks ShadySue - I was going to look into Alamy for some of my editorial stuff so handy to know.

mine carry through to alamy ok in the bottom keyword category, so still have to do the 50 char and 'main'. description also goes through

Same here, keywords make it to ALL sites, including Alamy. Still find Bridge to be the best program to do keywording in, although its far from perfect.

I have no problem with Alamy.

One issue I have had in the past but can't figure out is that some keywords come through with commas and others with semi-colons and some agencies are a bit fickle this way.  The keywords come through but you may have to change the separators depending on how the images are keyworded.

Not much different looking in Bridge CS6, but it seems to be a lot better than CS4. I haven't had any dropped metadata since I started using it.

Yup, sorry. As mentioned above, it puts keywords into the third tier, and you have to cut and paste into the top two from there. I don't find that very convient, so stopped doing it, and just do it in Manage Images, though it's a PITA without a CV.

Yup, sorry. As mentioned above, it puts keywords into the third tier, and you have to cut and paste into the top two from there. I don't find that very convient, so stopped doing it, and just do it in Manage Images, though it's a PITA without a CV.

I haven't done it but you can switch on hierarchical keywording in bridge (preferences-->keywording) - don't know if that does the trick or not?. For Lightroom there is a specific plugin that supposedly is terrific.
