I hope the new CEO will hire some professional staff and pay them accordingly...
Would you be happy with a big commission cut to pay for that?  I wouldn't.  I think we either have to put up with the standard of reviewers or we'll pay the bill for better ones.  And professionals would probably have higher standards and might reject a lot more.

I accept rejections now, I swear and get angry for 30 seconds then forget about it.

Depends on the cut of course, but sure, I'd pay for better reviewers and support, aren't we doing this already? and it's good to have high standards!
If this was my hobby I couldn't care less about all of this mate but now it looks like some of them are doing their best to block my/our progress.

That would be unsustainable on the pile 'em high, sell 'em cheap crowdsourced model.

...  Oh, a butterfly!  Top right, top left.  Wings open, wings shut..."
LOL  ;D
Of course  you want a butterfly with wings open AND wings shut. Both photos are essential for identification.
It was a joke and IMHO a good one. ( and I liked the turtle part most)

The portfolio in question is mmh how to say it... well in this case I'm pretty sure the reviewer did the right thing...
