We talked about this last month, but the pattern, for me, has continued. After getting 5 or 6 EDs a month regularly in 2012 through June, but then I got one in July and none so far in August. Am I alone in this or is this common to most contributors? I don't normally check the SS forum, but has any explanation been forthcoming?

I've never gotten a lot of EL but ... have had one in August -- Just ONE.   

Last month was BME for EL's, this month seems to be the worst. A few SOD's and EL's but far from the normal amount.
Weird sales too, some days a lot of old files, other days normal sales but overall they are down quiet a bit.

August has been a total collapse for me at SS.   

I've only had one this month.  Was getting them pretty much daily.

okay, I am confused now. If buyers are not purchasing EL's what are they using now for the daily business needs? Are they going somewhere else that has lower priced EL's. The demand should be the same but the supply has changed from what I sense. They have to be getting their needs taken care of but by whom?  Would YA's new site have an impact on EL's? There has to be a piece of the puzzle missing...

A couple of years ago they were promoting their CD backup plan.  When that promotion was going on all of a sudden there were dozens of CD backup purchases a day.  Once the promotion ended, so did those sales.

I don't really know for sure, but I am guessing they were running some sort of promotion on ELs.  You know, some sort of advertising to educate buyers about the importance of getting ELs for certain uses.  That must have run its course and now back to business as usual. 

I use to have between 2 and 4 EL a month (3 most of the time), and in august I have 2 so far...so no change for me  

I just noticed the search engine is changed yet again.
Popular looks good although it has been a while since it showed the true populars, lots of new images.
At least it's a sign they are still working on it.

Seems normal enough to me. I usually get 4-8 ELs per month on SS and so far I've had 4 in August.

About the same for me. Average 4-5 per month for 2012 but none so far in August.

The ones I'd gotten there dried up.  Haven't seen one since April.  August has completely tanked for me mostly just sub sales very little ODs, no ELs or SODs.

Five last month, one this month, but at least I got a $49 and $16.80 SOD to balance a little.

So that's why my sales are starting to look normal as of today, I'd say from a few hours ago. Well, it was about time, the last couple of weeks were pretty bad

Not one since last month. I see the same pattern as you.

4 for me this month - like the others, quite a drop from a few months ago.

7 so far. Tracking as an average month for me.

I usually get 0-3 a month.  Had one last month and one this month, on an image I didn't expect would get an EL so that was nice.

As if to underline your point, I got TWO $430 sales yesterday on Alamy.  Even without them, Alamy is doing uncommonly well for me this month.  Looks like some buyers may be switching to more reliable outlets. 

Got 2 ED's on last day of July, which saved the month. Then good start to August, with 2 ED's in first 2 weeks. My usual is about 2-3 month. So looking on track so far, although May/June did slump with ED's, but seems to be back to normal.

Haven't had a Single Image for a while though.

Good for you!  yes it seems they are switching, as I said in another thread some weeks back, my RMs at Gettys and other RM agecies have increased by at least 40% and thats quite a bit, may it be luck or not, dont know?  but Ive seen this pattern now for the last 4 months.

last month i had 5,( with a 2012 jan-july average of 4/month) this month only one  . Yap is a general situation.
