Hello. I'm kind of new in microstock as well as in photography. I want to share my SS port to know what you think. Expect some constructive critiques from you guys. Thanks.

I'm not really qualified to leave technical critiques, it looks like you're doing alright to me.

Is the 3+2 =7 picture meant to be that way?  Last I checked 3+2 = 5.

I think you need to develope a style. You are all over the place in subject matter. How do you think of yourself? Are you to be remembered for your landscapes, food, wildlife, aircraft, or isolations? Pick one or two and let that be what you are known for.

Really? Most buyers are looking for images they can use, and will likely find them through a keyword search.  Why would they care if there's a unifying style between the images they want and others they don't? I'd say shoot and submit what you want and what you think will sell.  As Emerson once said, "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds."  And Wilde did him one better: "Consistency is the last refuge of the unimaginative."  I can't argue with that.

Not sure why people need a "style" I shoot whatever is in front of me. If you love photography shoot all and any and vary it up. Mind yo my wife says I lack "style" lol

I think yo are alright! Just keep shooting and uploading. You, I and even the reviewers are not 100% sure which will be sold constantly, As far as i have realized.

Nice ports from all!  I dont think ports have to be specialized in Micro, buyers here buy anything. In Macro however its a differant story.

Rimglow is right. Branding and style is important.

I'd say Rimglow is right for Rimglow and Disorderly is right for Disorderly. I don't think it's an either/or situation.  It depends on the quality of the work and the right image being discovered at the right time by the right buyer.

I see a style, or "theme". It's very much north american stuff. :)

That blog post about "branding", whilst pushing a lot of buzz words, perhaps doesn't quite apply in our case as buyers search for what they need, rather than by contributor. sure, they may love your style, and tag you as a favourite, but they won't be loyal to you. They'll keep looking over your shoulder for other stuff.

I may not be a big player in micro but I do have years of small business business and other experiences.

Sytle isn't about what you do but how you do it - you can have a very diverse port and still have a style.
