First, we're so encouraged by the support we've received fron you about the Pond5 integration!  By joining forces, our vision of becoming the most artist-friendly, global marketplace for royalty-free media becomes that much more of a reality.

Second, thank you to all the artists who have opted-in to our new Pixmac Contributor Agreement.  Nearly all of you have agreed!  If you haven't done so already, you can log into your Pixmac account to read and opt-in to the new agreement.  From a legal perspective, you are acknowledging the change of ownership from Pixmac to Pond5. From a business perspective, your royalty income will increase to 50% on every sale!  All of these things won't be in effect until the close of our transaction, which leads to our final point below.

Both the Pixmac and Pond5 teams are working hard and fast to get this transaction officially "closed."  As you might have guessed, integrating two global companies requires brains (lots of moving parts!) and brawn (sheer execution!), but we're confident to say that we're about to cross the finish line in the next few weeks!  Check back here for the latest developments.  And if you have any questions, please write us an email at [email protected].

When are you going to add a photo template on Pond5? When will that site be made photographer friendly?

Until then I wont be uploading my 800 photos.

I am asking it here, because on all other places, even on Pond5, I get no significant answer.

Thanks.

Hi Lucie,

Just to clarify, when you say "working hard and fast to get this transaction officially "closed."" does that imply that the date given earlier (March 29 I think it was) is no longer the start of the 50% royalties?

In other words, if I have a sale today for example, what amount will I be paid?

Thank you for clearing this up for me.

yes, things aren't perfect there, but let's put a polite face on for the guests, lest they think MSG is full of critical, ungrateful whingers.

I agree, it doesn't hurt to be civil. It's part of being professional.

Poncke

I dont see anything uncivil going on here?

rubyroo

Me neither.  I'm quite confused.  I'd like an answer to that question too, so I was glad you asked.

THP Creative

Sorry? What have I said that was rude or winging?

That wasn't my intention. Just a genuine question caused by a little confusion with what was stated.

Had my first sale after one week and was surprised about just 25% royalties - now I know why!  So, hopefully it won't take too long anymore to finalise the merger.

Lucie

Hi all,

you are right, you will get the 50% royalty when the deal is closed. We are sorry that it takes longer than we expected but we are working hard to finalize everything as soon as possible.

For Poncke, I am not sure what template are you talking about, but I will contact Pond5 for help. You can send me more info via email or private message.

On Pond5 you have templates for batch editing files. You can create a template with all the necessary info and then apply it to the images in the editor. You have a video file template, and a sound file template, but there is no photo file template.

Can we set our own Pricing for our images in Pixmac since P5 allow us to do so??

And another question:

123rf and P5 are partners, so does that mean that sales commission in 123rf is the same as P5's 50% commission???
