Came across this on Dribbble today. It's a free service, you sign up and get a pack of free images in your email every month. It's nice stuff, actually. But it's also far from the death blow to stock images (no search, no single image selection, no model releases, etc).

Just thought I'd share, it's an interesting concept. There was talk on their facebook page about releasing previous image packs for a fee, so I guess there's a way to monetize this and make it sustainable. But again, it's a far cry from replacing any existing stock agency for most folks. I can see this being useful for the occasional blog image.

They have a pretty awesome logo. Check out the facebook page to see it.

Whenever I read topics like: Stock Photography is Dead, Cell phones replacing dSLR- I take it with a grain of salt and move on to another topic that interest me more...

Thanks so much for sharing the topic.

BD. What legal issues do you see? If all photos are taken by the designers themselves, how would there be issue?

Looks like they are figuring it out day by day. Maybe make money on the $5 for past packs. Just don't get it or see how it can scale up to worth the time.
