New logo !!!



I noticed something different but couldnt put my finger on it.

First it looked weird, and now its growing on me. I think I like it.

site header could be slimmer, and logo smaller.. covers half of the page.. otherwise, it's good..

+1 for this (speaking as a graphic designer). Smaller would be better too.

Yeah, I suppose I agree with the crowd - it does look a bit like microgroup stock.  I've adjusted it a bit now.. similar to what you suggested eltonjones and think it works better like this now on several levels... the group is talking about stock and both group elements are orange and the single word microstock is all together in one color.

.. and to those who are complaining about screen real estate being gobbled up - it isn't taking up any more space than before.  I just got ride of a few gradient elements and simplified things.. so it just looks larger at the top....

I may make it a bit smaller though... I'll see how it feels a bit more.

Not a fan. Sorry, it's just not very good. Font choice is bad, kerning is non-existant.

What's the story with this? I seem to remember maybe a 99designs contest or something. Kind of a disappointing service if this was the best option they could deliver.

I like it the way it is. It's friendly and cheerful in a cartoony way, and I'm a cartoon lover.

It already took too much space before, imho

I think it should not be larger than the line "Show unread posts since last visit."

I like the concept   but yes, the kerning is poor. A good tip is to turn it upside down and then adjust your kerning. That way you don't see the words, only the spaces.

i'm on a smaller laptop now and .. yeah.. ok ok, perhaps it is a little large.  I'll look at it tomorrow.
