I get nearly $100 for a single sale of photo on Shutterstock sometimes without being exclusive, but the most you can get on Fotolia is like 25% of 100 credit?  That's only $25.  Regular Enhanced sale at Shutterstock gives me $28 in commission.

Am I right?

The royalty percentage for credits bases sales at Fotolia which includes extended licenses is based on your rank. If you have your extended license prices set to 100 credits you must be at minimum a Silver ranked contributor. Silver pays 25%. As soon as you jump to Gold rank your commission climbs to 31%, Emerald is 37% and it goes up from there. Mat, I've only been on FT for 3 months and am still uploading my portfolio there, so still at the lowly "white" level. Not worried about that, because I'm seeing my sales grow each month and I know the level will rise.

But I'm curious about a sale that came through on 9/30. My commission for that was 3.30 credits. Previously, I'd had a few at 1.4 credits, so the larger one came as a surprise.

Can you help me understand what that 3.30 sale was?

Does Fotolia pay much more for sensitive use sale like Shutterstock?

Generally a $3.30 commission results from a single image sale at Adobe Stock. All commissions at Adobe Stock are 33%. Single image sales are $9.99 so your rate is $3.30. As has been discussed there was a 50% promotion for Adobe Stock customers though the rate for contributors remained as though there was no discount. It's possible the customer paid $5 and you received $3.30.

Other commissions you may find from Adobe Stock: $1.65 for 10 download subscriptions (non CC members) and $0.99 for 10 download subs (CC members) along with the minimum commission based on Fotolia rank for 750 dl subs.

Sensitive use is not allowed with Fotolia/Adobe Stock licenses.
