Great idea on the one post rule. I run a forum on another topic and have been blasted with bots. I'm running IP board but am thinking of changing over to vbulletin.

Hi
I am new to stock photography and right now trying to understand and gather information. I have also started uploading on some of the sites.
This is the first post that I have opened after registering. And what stuck me that the newest posts are at the end. I wish they were at the first page and the oldest posts were at the last page.
What say ?

Thanks for the information. This is my first time here. I've been dabbling in microstock for almost a year and have not had any success yet. I just downloaded the book by Rob Sylvan, Taking Stock: Make Money in Microstock Creating Photos... I'm hoping with that book and this forum I can learn a lot and turn that around.

Firstly, welcome to the forum.

If you want to connect to other new users, you can check out the *newbies only* forum area here
http://www.microstockgroup.com/**newbies-only**/

In regards to starting threads, members who are 'lurkers' (those who have less than one post) are not able to start new threads.  This is an effort to cut down on spambots.

Once you have made one post, your status is upgraded to 'Newbie' and you can start your own threads.

Also:  when you do start a new thread, please give the thread a descriptive subject.  If you are going to ask a question, put the question in the subject.  A thread that is titled 'a question for you' or 'I am having problems' is not helpful and will probably not get a very good response.  Instead try 'I am having problems with my ftp program Filezilla' or 'What is the best FTP software?'

understood, totally -- I mean, for the spambots portion of which we have more than enough ourselves on our own (significantly smaller-than-Microstockgroup) websites out there...

Lex, it is not correct.
I am several years already here. I had some cases when it was better to start a new thread, but never ever it was allowed. I had advises from other microstockers that person even with multiple posts should send a demand e-mail to support first. This corresponds to cases when absolutely new person could receive possibility to create a new thread
