God I hope not!   I am no fan of Getty, but I don't know a thing about VCG other than I don't trust the nonexistent intellectual property rights in China.

The announcement seems to be just a reiteration of what is already known about Getty distributing VCG (therefore Corbis) content outside of China.

I told you so, the chinese will buy getty and will squeeze even further photographers pockets
