Earnings reporting is totally out of order.
Yesterday and the day before I had downloads shown only in daily earnings but not on map nor in earnings summary. I followed the map until these images were pushed away by other downloads but they never showed up on the map. This was the lucky version of this bug.
Today I have downloads on the map but they don' t show in earnings summary.

If you don't check very often your earnings in the time-frame those cca. 10 images are shown on the map, you will never find out about those that are not accounted.
What a mess!

Apparently files, showing on a map, but not in earnings page are not real sales.

We have been working to deploy a fix but it has proved more complex than originally thought.

The issue is limited to the map. Your earnings data is still accurate.  We will update you as soon as we have more news.

Thanks for posting it here. There is one thing though that makes me doubt it was just the map glitch  - one of my sales from the map that didn't appear in my earnings yesterday looked too real!

The geo tag for that ghost sale showed a certain location in the north of Mexico, the buyer bought a photo from my Copper Canyons series - this photo is not accounted for in my earnings. And today this same buyer from the same location came back to buy another image from the same series - this second photo is shown in my earnings - so I'd bet it's not just the map issue 

how come that something that has been working for years, all of a sudden is broken and its almost too complex to fix. they are obviously changing stuff in the back ground and as a result broke the map. classic example of not having a clue what you are doing and add more band aids as you go along. tech company my hole, ss is rapidly becoming an istock clone, all we need to do now is wait for the sales to drop for the transformation to be complete

Our download activity map is now working as expected. Thank for your patience.

The recent issue was that the map was also including re-downloads and watermarked preview images in the display.

Please let us know if you see any other unusual map activity.

Well, if previews were shown, then they also affects popularity, because I also had a new file shown on the map without reported sale, and it has climbed in popularity.

It would be better if they can inform contributors when something goes wrong in their site. Then we don't have to panic, but just wait till they fix it.

Yep, but I still have problems Now on my map I have 2 photos without any information about it in earning table.
Even more:
1) I got one sale on map on 31.08.2016.
2) I still see photo on map
3) I see that rating of this one photo goes up. So, image was sold!
4) But, I don't see this image on earning table and do not got any money for it.

Ok, I agree that map is only for fun and for visual effects. But! We talking about money, we talking about Information that is important for contributers... Oooook, map is broken... but why we cannot see information about the sale? Sale happened - information in some contributor table updated. That's all! We do not need nothing more. And I am web-developer. This is not something complicated... even in such huge system like photostock.

Yes you'd think it would be basic stuff...you'd think they could afford to have someone monitoring their live site rather than waiting for their customers or contributors to spot these problems.

I have a (little ) SOd download which does not appear on the map. is map broken again?

I also have 1 SOD sale that isn't showing on the map. All other sales prior to that are showing on the map.

All other (sub) sales, after and before SOD sale are showing on a MAP. Weird stuff....

I have no idea how one would even tell if the map is broken or not. I just see random images from my portfolio popping up in random places on the map at random times. How would I know if the right stuff is popping up at the right time in the right place?

The map should show the last ten downloads. So if some of these sales are not showing on the map, you'll know.
