Hi guys,
I am starting to upload my images to istockphoto but the problem is that they do not allow ftp. Is there is any free service through which I could submit my images to istock through ftp. Thanks in advance.

Sean Locke Photography

No.  You need to use a third party app, like DeepMeta.

Why you want to sell your art through iStock / Ghetty anymore ? For 0.02$ ?? Please, read this before:

I am currently uploading images to fotolia and shutterstock so I would be earning some more money by uploading to istock

I am using multcloud so if any one know how to submit images to istock through ftp, webdav

hamzaali

how you guys are uploading to istockphoto???

CJH Photography

Many of us are not, but if you want to you can't ftp.  You have to upload through their site or use 3rd-party software, like Sean said above.

Not necessarily. Istock are currently decimating royalties for contributors. The danger is that other agencies will follow their lead. In uploading to istock you may be cutting your own throat and the throats of the other agencies that currently pay you more.

No ftp, Deep Meta or other software.

Did you read the training manual?  http://www.istockphoto.com/sell-stock-photos.php

If you want to work many hours for 2 cents this is the place for you. I wouldn't join now, until you see what happens with the new payment commissions. People here are trying to warn you and you don't listen.

You could earn substantially less if buyers shop around and buy your images on istock instead of through fotolia or shutterstock.  You will only earn more if your sales on istock don't cannibalize your sales on other sites.  And, it's not enough to be worth the hassle of uploading there based on their system and pay out.

But is it possible to upload through ftp

To quote myself:

No.  You need to use a third party app, like DeepMeta.

Well uploading to iStock will not help  ;D you'll be getting 2 cent royalties from November 2016

Better off sticking with Fotolia/Adobe and Shutterstock

use deep meta software.

This has already been mentioned several times in this thread. Although it is best to repeat it, evidently istockers seem to be a little slow.

use deep meta software.

OR you can try the newest online tool qhero.com.    It works really nice for me.  easy bulk editing, nice workflow, create collections and then sends images direct to iStock, then shows your images Pending review and then For sale.

send your content to dropbox, and you can import to istock. I go from my ftp server to dropbox then to istock.

There is a service that allows you to do ftp to dropbox and then to istock. I forgot the name. it is a service where you can take any input (ftp, www, http, dropbox, google drive, etc) and swap everything between each format. I forgot the name. it is expensive because you pay for data size, you save money if you have tens of thousands of transactions. I tried it and didn't like it. forgot the name.

the service is all icon driven. you drag the icons and put commands between the 2. so you drag an FTP icon and dropbox icon, link them, and type in a command, and it processes the command on all of your files. it is a web based service.

the service I was referring to in the previous message is Integromat.

No, Istock doesn't like modern technology. They love reinventing the wheel though. Except the wheel ends up being square-shaped and without spokes.

Is pain and will be more pain with ESP plataform.

Odd, I looked and they don't show Getty or iStock on their services. How does it work for you. Do you use it to upload to iStock? How do I use Integromat to upload to IS?
