We earn $0.30 per image.
We cannot pay $1,00 per image.

Actually, the people who can afford to outsource are earning far more than 0.30 over time

Selling each image hundreds or thousands of times = a lot of income per photo, for those contributors

But imagine sending 100 images to retouch from a photoshoot.  Only 50 are accepted.  Then only 25 sell.  I have to sell at least 350 times just to cover the retouching service.  And another 350 times to make a reasonable profit. Those 25 images have to sell 700 times.  So $1 is expensive...

And there are plenty contributors who sell far more than that. If you're good enough at MS, you can outsource everything.

Personally, 1$ sounds too little, but it depends on where you live and what you are making.

You better sharpen your own skills first then...

If you're able to outsource and it costs less than the extra money you can make by shooting researching planning, submitting it's worth it. If you're a photoshop guru and can process an imag in 1 minute then it might not worth it but if you're already at capacity then outsourcing can be good.

I know people who spend an hour processing trying to get everything perfect. Not a receipe for microstock.

I do not outsource retouching for my microstock photography, but I do use outsourcing for portraiture (belly & baby photography).  I pay 2 $ per image to remove every skin blemish including acne, cellulite, clothing marks, pregnancy stripes, scars, red spots, bruises, shiny spots etc.   No color correcting or other improvements.   
- how fast do you work?  (turn-around of 2 days possible?  I send batches of 8 to 16 images)
- what if a person is really a lot of work (lots of skin impurities), or there are 3 people in the photo?  (right now, it's 2 $ no matter how much work).
- you really need a PayPal account, but I pay 5% extra per Paypal payment.
- I send the 40 Mb images in LZW TIF format, in Profoto RGB and I want them back in the same format  (I send them through "We Transfer") - is this possible?
- most retouchers offer 1 free sample photo to show their skills.

Keep in mind the original post was from 18 months ago or thereabouts. I think it was dragged up by the crazy Russian spammer or the helicopter essay dude. The OP could be no longer of this world.

Where are you based?

I see a dozen of these every single day in my email.  Fortunately I have strong spam filtering, so all I have to do is scan the titles (for the occasional legit email that ends up there) and then delete in bulk.

I hope people asking here are just trolling or trying to get info to slam this idiot.  We NEVER want to encourage spamming like this. PERIOD...
