Hi, i'm having some problems with the calibration of my monitor, I'm thinking in buying a monitor calibrator.
should i buy the spider2express or PANTONE®huey???

I have spider2 and no problems with calibrations

I have a Spider2Express and it works pretty good. I had a funky yellow cast and the Spider got rid of it and made a noticeable difference with the overall coloring and contrast.

Anyone with experience in calibrating an apple cinema display?

Monitor calibration should be a prerequisite for ALL REVIEWERS. However sadly, it is not.
In fact, I personally know of one reviewer who uses a laptop to review images...how insane is that!?

I found a hueyPro on sale and it works quite well. Used it to fix my laptop that I travel with so it's somewhat better, but for anything critical or important a VGA is the only answer.

If you go read reviews, you'll see that different people have varied opinions of the Spider. I think it's like "what's the best camera brand"  How critical are you going to be and how precise do you need it?

In other words, having a good name brand calibration device and software is much, much, better than having none.

huey PRO is reasonable priced and appears to work just fine.

Been using Spider2express for about a year now.  No complaints... all screens (studio/home) are calibrated on weekly basis.

i used colorexpress? (the old cheap one) mostly got rid of colour cast, but didn't allow for black / white / points and just fixed the gamma.  I added a monitor, but noticed huge difference between laptop and monitor and so recently bought spider3pro for around $130. it sets black / white etc and there is a significant difference between it and the cheap one. now I feel comfortable with the calibration on either the pc or the laptop.
